  1. What about adding unflavored protein to soups, etc? Something is better than nothing.
  2. So I'm going to say something you're probably not suppose to say: since I felt the SAME EXACT WAY post op, I focused more on getting my 64+ oz of water a day. I ditched the protein up until the purée stage (for me this was the third week post op) where I added chicken or fish and puréed that. Since then I've been eating a lot of chicken and salmon. I found that salmon sashimi has A LOT of protein and it goes down really smoothly. I got my blood work done last week and everything is normal. I guess my best advice is just to see what works best for you. I think it also depends on how long you're on the liquid stage, etc.

    The best way to sleep

I had to sleep on my back for the first 4 days or so. I'm a side/stomach sleeper. I woke up one morning on my stomach and I found it didn't hurt so I just continued sleeping that way. Also, if you're going to be on pain meds when you're first discharged, you won't care where or how you sleep, lol! Good luck!

    Exercise and Excess Skin

I had mine done with Dr. Munoz on April 1st. He's awesome, but I didn't do much shopping prior to since I know a couple of people who had their sleeve done by him. Clinicalnurse, let me know if you have any questions! As far as excess skin in concerned, I'm pretty sure all of that depends on age and how much excess weight you have left. I'm trying to do more weight training even while I'm home watching tv. I figure it can't hurt.
