I've been stalled for the past week and a half! I've read posts about how people have been stalled for weeks but I never knew how frustrating it could be. I'm 7 weeks out and my weight hast budged. I know, I know, it will keep moving down, just be patient. Easier said than done. How do you deal with stalls? Also, how often do they happen?

They took my remaining belly out of my belly button so I can't even see the large scar. All I have are 4 little puncture wounds. One for the camera, two on either sides of my belly and one where they used the stapler. I use bio oil everyday to keep the scars from turning dark. I'd still like to see pics though -
There is a way. You can customize the protein and calories and fat and carbs and everything else. It needs to be done through their website. When you go to myfitnesspal.com, log in and go to their settings. I don't remember how to do it exactly from there but it's in their FAQ page. That's how I did it

I'm curious too! -
Holly, sweetheart, listen to me. I was in a relationship for 12 years. 12 LOOOONG years. Some of them good and others very bad. Basically I learned he cheated, I would get pissed, kick him to the curb and then take his sorry as$ back because I thought no one else would want me looking the way that I do(this happened several times). I already felt worthless. I didn't value myself as an individual. Sure, I'm a freaking phenomenal person, but from the outside, nobody really knows that. He was all i knew for a LOOOONG time and after every time that he cheated (I consider cheating sleeping with another person, kissing, being intimate, and taking a girls phone number since you met her at a bar and she seemed like a cool chick). I AM A COOL FUKCING CHICK! RIGHT HERE! YOU *******! Anyway, one day, we were in the pool and the topic of marriage came up. He said, and I quote: "I could never marry you looking like this. Our wedding pictures would look horrible." That stuck with me, for a long long time. Till this day actually. I broke things off a few months ago and although there are still some lines of communication open (I'm the type of person who doesn't want to fight. I have no need for enemies) I'm much happier than I was before. Now, he sees me losing weight and all I think about is (insert Borat voice) "you will never get this! You will never get this!" I hope you get to that place soon. The place when the past doesn't matter and all you're looking forward to is the future. Good luck!

Hi Christina, Our stats are similar. I'm 26 and 5'6 with HW being 293. I had surgery 4/1 and my total weight loss has been 50 pounds. Unlike you, I'm more bottom heavy. I have a little bit of a belly but nothing some clothes couldn't hide. My problem areas are mainly my legs and my butt. I've been at a stall for the past week or so so I'm hoping once I break the stall more weight will fall off. My exercise regimen has been okay. Since I'm more bottom heavy, I have pain in my hips which makes walking for long periods of time really painful. I did walk a lot when I first got out of surgery. I was wheeled into recovery at 11am and by noon I was already walking around. I walked at least 10 minutes every hour (even at night - couldn't sleep). Now, I'm comfortable walking for maybe 30 minutes until the pain starts to creep back up. I follow up with a swim or resistance exercises with weights or abs. Let me know if you have anymore questions

Any APRIL SLEEVERS? Let me know your progress !

Sleeved April 1st and down 50 pounds at a stall since last week though. -
I'll be completely honest- this post has nothing to do with WLS. I'm 26 years old and I live in Florida. I've been watching the news coverage on the Oklahoma tornadoes and its truly heartbreaking. I cant even begin to imagine the kind of traffic this website gets, but in the grand scheme of things, every little effort counts. For those of you who have already been sleeved or are thinking about getting sleeved, please consider donating to the red cross. I'm not going to guilt you into donating. I hate it when people do it to me, so why would I do it to you? I was driving to work this morning and I realized a $10 donation to the red cross relief efforts equals a large starbucks coffee (something I am very familiar with), one alcoholic beverage (also something I'm familiar with), OR one Quarter Pounder with cheese. If you think about all the things you buy on any given day, substituting one of those things in order to help the life of another person is priceless. Please text REDCROSS to 90999 in order to donate $10. If you dont have access to a phone or for those of you who don't want to add charges to your monthly phone bill, please visit https://www.redcross.org/donate/index.jsp?donateStep=2&itemId=prod10001. Ok, I'm done preaching, but if its for a good cause, I'm all about it! Thank you for reading this. If you decide not to donate, that's okay! Thank you for considering it! If you do donate, WONDERFUL! Thank you on behalf of everyone struggling in Oklahoma. Happy losing! (Btw, I have nothing to do with the redcross. I'm just a student in Florida who was incredibly touched and heartbroken)

Surgery before starting grad school
Aries replied to AthinnerAmy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a grad student and I had it done right in the middle of the semester! I spoke to each and every one of my professors as well as my major advisor and let them know I was having surgery (I didnt do into detail about it) and I would need to be out for two weeks. I probably could have gone back a week after surgery, but I figured I already had the material and I could do it at home. Plus, personally, that second week made a huge difference. I just felt rested. Again, I cant speak for you or anyone else, especially since I had surgery in the states and didnt have to fly after being discharged. Talk to your doctors and see what they recommend. Good luck to you -
