Hi to all and hope you have had a great 4th. I am feeling so good now! I am a new woman! lol I am still taking my meds and will until they are gone. My mother-in-law cooked dinner for us. I had a small hamburger pattie, baked beans, potatoe salad and deviled eggs. Dont worry, i chewed and chewed and chewed. I did not know that you had to chew hamburger so much, i guess in the past i just swalled it down. lol This was probably not the best meal to start on mushies, but i did chew it very good and did not eat that much. It did not take that much to fill me. Tonight i think i will have a yogurt for supper. I go for check up tomorrow at one, and hope i am not in trouble for what i did eat today. We (my mother-in-law) are going shopping before my appointment.

Hi to all! I am feeling a lot better and i will get food wednesday the 4th, so i am really looking forward to it. My daughter changed up stuff for me on here. I lost 23 not 25 pounds. I go for check up thursday the 5th at 1:00. lo2us did you find lot of good stuff at the yard sales? I am addicted to yard sales. Maybe some times we can get together and go. Lisa G i hope you have a great day to. I am a 50 year old mother of 3 and grandmother of 9 that has been married to the same man since 1973. I would like to know more about you all too. I live at the big town of Dierks. lol And like i said i love yard sailing, hunting, fishing, and riding a 4-wheeler. I am going to ask when i can start riding again thursday. I go to church every time i can. You all are in my prayers!

Hi to all I am on another round of medicine because (low) fever is still here. I hope it knocks out the infection this time. I am feeling better. I can not wait until wednesday when i am off the liquid stuff. I am so hungry! I want food so bad. lo2us i am glad you are off bp meds. You are doing great. I went yard sailing today, and found a few good things. I love to go yard saling. I am trying to get back into the things i love to do. I did not go to church sunday but i will make it this sunday. I have lost 25 pounds now. I hope it keeps up! All of you are in my prayers.

Hi to you all! I am better and had only 99 and under temperature today. I had to wash the white hose and i do not want to put them back on. The gas pain are brothering me. I had some oatmeal today and wont do that again. I guess its the liquids for another week like i am surposed to. lo2us how did your water classes go? It sounds fun. In my little town we do not have stuff like that. I am afraid to get on the scales now, with me having to drink a lot of water, plus all the other liquids. I think the infection is almost gone but the dr always tells you to drink a lot of water to flush your bladder out. My antiboatic is almost gone. Sugarbear thanks for the help, I may call them and ask about it for my cpap machine. It was not that bad before surgery. Lisa G good for you losing the 10 pounds. I am sorry you was having trouble getting on here. Thank you all so much for the support while i was sick! You all are in my prayers!

Yes lo2us, he did give me an antibiotics and i called dr k office and got the recording and told them what my dr said. They did not call me back. I had to pull the tape off the cuts tonight because blisters was forming under the tape. Things has got to get better. Please keep me in your prayers. Lo2us you are doing great. I need some of your luck. At least i can swallow stuff better today. Still do a lot of burping and girlding noises. Is that normal? I am not drinking much at all and i know i have to do better. Thank you priss and lo2us. I have had several surgerys and have bounced right back afterwards. I dont know why i am having so much trouble with this one. But all you guys give me hope, when i read how well you are doing. I am surprised that i am not that hungry right now. You guys keep up the good work. Maybe i will be able to follow you.

Things not going so well here. I am runing a fever and feel really bad. I called dr. keilin and she said if it got to 100.5 to go to the er. It got to 100.4 and staying around 100 now. She told me to go to my dr and have a chest xray and blood test. I went to him and he said my chest sounded good and my cuts looked good. They did a a pee test and it was infected. So he did not do the xray or blood work. Have you all had these problems? I am worried. He also said not to go to er unless fever got to 102. What would you do?

The surgery went great. I am sore, especially under my left side. My mouth is so dry. I still have the patch behind my ear and am taking and taking the other two meds. The cpap and meds made me wake up every hour to get a sip of water. I had only water yesterday. I brup a lot and feels like something comes in my throat. I hope that is normal. I may try some broths today. My tummy feels so blown up. I started at 275 (i thought it was 280) yesterday they weighted me before surgery and i weughed 258. That is 17lb i could not believe it. Thank you for support sugarbear, lo2us, and lisa g. I hope i can do as well as you all.

I read what you guys write and learn from you all. When you get a fill do they numb your skin and does it hurt? They told me to bring my cpap machine to surgery. Did any of you bring yours, if you use one? How long did you stay after surgery before you all got to come home? Did you get sick driving home? I have 1 hour drive home. Sorry, i told you i have tons of questions. Thank you all.

I will have my surgery june 20th too. I know how you feel. I will pray for you. I wish you good luck and i ask you to pray for me. My pastor is coming to my surgery and pray there for me. By this time next year we will be in a lot smaller size of clothes and feel better in mind and body. I wish you the best in your new life.

Thank you all for welcome! Betty gave me the diet for after surgery and it look like it will be a while until i eat solid food. She confirmed that i had lost 10 pounds so far. All pre-op test was ok. Boy do they try to scare you with all the bad stuff that can happen. When i was at wadley, in day surgery, it was sureal. I thought this is really going to happen and my life as i know it is about to change for ever. I still have people around me asking if i am sure. And i say yes this is for me and most important for my health. I have 3 kids and 9 grandkids and been married to the same man for 34 years, i still have a lot to live for. Thank you all again very much and i am sure i will have tons of questions.

I am having my surgery done ay Texerkana by Dr. Keilin june 20th. I am nervous, scared, happy, excited and hungry. The 2 week diet is no fun! I am counting down the day now and cant wait to count the hours. Glad to see some people on here that use my dr. I go for pre-op stuff tomorrow. I live in south west arkansas, a one hour drive to texerkana.

Thank you Big as like. Did you have your lapband at Texerkana, Texas? That is where i am having mine. I get my salad today and cant wait. I babysit ny grands kids and this is hard with them, they always are hungry . Again, thank you

My surgery date is June 20th. My Doctor has me on a diet for two weeks. I get 4 slim fast for 4 days and after 4 days I get to sup one for a salad. I can have all the sugar free jello and drinks that I want. Today was the first day and it was ruff. I hope I can keep up. :help: I'm very nervous, excited. It has been a struggle to get this far with insurance etc. But I'm doing it, with or without the support of my husband. He is on the boat one minute and off the next.
