Postop question-- How do you measure your fluid intake? My surgeon wants me at 64oz postop, and I have no idea how I'm going to measure the fluid. Any advice? :-)

Hello to my fellow August sleevers!!! I haven't checked in lately. I went to my surgeon's office for my final weigh-in today. I'm down 9LBS on my 2-week pre-op diet. August 12th sleevers we're next up to bat on Monday! *screams* I go in at 5:30am and surgery is set for 7:30. I'm not too nervous; my faith & support system keeps me strong. My prayers are with all of my sleeve sisters & brothers! Good luck to those who are post-op and current/future pre-op dieters. :-)

I begin my 2-week pre-op diet on 7/29. I used the Atkins Protein shakes as Meal Replacements a few times this week to try them out. Now, I have been very gassy and bloated. Has anyone had this problem with their shakes? Is there anything I could do to avoid gassiness and bloating during my pre-op diet?

Maybe you should speak with your surgeon or NUT for their suggestions. You don't want to spend money on shakes that make you ill. Good luck!

I'm 6 days into my 2-week pre-op diet (surgery date 8/12). It's certainly not easy, but I haven't had many thoughts about cheating. I'm allowed 4 Protein shakes, a salad for lunch, veggies for dinner and unlimited SF Jello and Popsicles. Whatever you do, don't give in. It's not worth it. If you need a buddy or extra support, feel free to message me.

Yay!!! I got my date today! I was initially aiming for July (my birthday month), but it's cool! It took a total of 4 months from my first consult in April 2013 until my surgery in August! I'm sooooo happy! *Doing a random silly dance* lol
