    Slow Losers - Unite!

    although in the 1st month of being banded, i lost 30lbs but now my weight loss has totally slowed down. it slowed down to a pound a week, which is acceptable but now its like a pound a month!!!:Banane30: i am spinning 3 days a week, since august and starting tomorrow i am going to do tae bo and the firm on days that i am not spinning. i do know that i will graze when i'm not even hungry! i have been actually full but still want to put something in my mouth! i dont get that. whats that all about? they say you have to figure out why you're eating. well i know that its out of boredom!:bored so now what do i do since i identified that?? i have been totally stuffed and hurting but STILL put something in my mouth
  2. so do i...mmmmm.... but i used to sleep on my stomach but now i most sleep on my side or back. that really started right after my surgery and since i wear the cpap too, its just more comfy on my side.

    wow, we are or were the same starting weight and almost the same current, having the same goal!!! but like you i am wondering the same thing. i had my 3rd fill in July and suffered no feelings of tightness, vomitting etc but i would like to know what a "satisfied" feeling is. i would always feel a good restriction for the 1st day or 2 but then not so much. i find now that i feel a strong restriction around that time of the month. other than that, i feel like i eat waaaaaaaay too much. not alot for a normal person but alot to be banded and filled 3x!!
  5. i have a 10cc band and its filled to 4.5?? i dont fully understand if i have 10cc why i'm as tight as i can go. they took me to 5cc during my last fill but they unfilled 1/2 because it was too tight. when i go again for a visit i will totally ask for clarification on the 10cc thing.
  6. oh is that what can happen, you loose restriction with weightloss?? wow. i was just sending my nurse an email about the lack of restriction i feel:eek: i was told that i was "filled up to capacity" when i got my 3rd fill in july. i dare not ask for another fill but now maybe thats is the case. the only time i feel restriction is when i get my period. for that week its tight!:car:

    i'm in!! i will be taking a spin class 3x a week(if not more!!) for 1 hour. my goal is to exercise 6x a week.

    so disappointed!

    everyone is different but i was banded in march and lost 30lbs in less than a month. after that and right up to now i have been losing about a pound a week. my doctor did give me a fill 8 weeks after on my 1st visit back. actually he told me not to wait so long if i didnt feel restriction. i agree with others, although its frustrating you want to see instant results, it takes time just like it did to gain it. 1-2lbs a week is the best for you!!!:clap2: they'll be times when you wont lose and times when you gain a little. you may be stuck on the same weight for what seems an eternity but your body will kick start and shed it. eat right and exercise. start your new life and take responsibility. you'll love yourself more for it!!!:biggrin1:
  9. i saw it today in gnc! i had my hands on it but decided to wait until went to bj's or another store for a better price. so could i drink that as a replacement meal, no right? its just so much protein in it and if we have 3 meals a deal and get enough protein, is that protein overload...if there is such a thing(for our needs) how do you all incorporate this in your day?

  13. hi everyone, i'm new here so i hope i hear from so so manny of you!! i had my lapband or as i see so many of you say it, i've been banded, in March. so far i have lost about 40lbs. i lost 30 in the 1st month!! wow! i was amazed because i was constantly told and read that the weight loss is slow and i was totally fine with that. i wanted that! but i guess i got spoiled to losing weight every other day or so. now i cant seem to move a bit! i have stayed at 258-255ish since my 1st adjustment which was 3 weeks ago. prior to that, i had stayed at 263 until the adjustment. i can not figure out why i cant move anymore. what i am doing or not doing? i am getting another adjustment in about 2 wks so i expect to loose another couple of pounds but then after that will i stay stuck again? i'm not understanding this. can you all offer any help or advice? i eat 3 meals a day. i have snacks which i'm thinking i should cut out now. i dont know. i love to snack. i dont have high sugar snacks but as we know too much of anything is not good! my snacks are granola....basically but also SF popsicles, SF pudding, and wheat crackers(5) what should i expect in regards to my weight loss, being stagnant and just staying focused?!? please help:phanvan

    lol..no i dont blend my veggies. now juicing is another story...lol. i havent done that since way before my surgery anyway:biggrin1: any knowledge about aleve anyone?

    thanks and good point but thats why i said i wouldnt eat the whole thing. my dh probably will. i had a cup of salad and i didnt dump the dressing on it. i did notice it said 18 servings:eek:. off the topic but can we have aleve? i remember that we cant have certain pain relievers but i can not remember what we can have. THANKS!!

    no you werent offensive and thank you! i appreciate the help from everyone!!! but why cant i blend my fruit up in a smoothie:biggrin1: aw man...i just like to taste it mixed in things. to be honest i probably wont get it in me if i have to eat it straight. i do have turkey chilli. campbells makes it. thats not a problem at all. i do know its hard to find and actually only super walmart carries it, that i know of. everywhere i look, they just have beef. i'll take a look at fit day and check it out. thanks so much!!!
  17. thats a good idea! i see EAS in walmart too and i look at it but i dont know anything about it but thats definitely an option now. good thought about the unflavored powders. since i make smoothies which the yogurt and/or fresh fruit flavors, i dont really need flavored protein per se thanks again dbaguy! my dietician really recommended that i phase out the Protein drinks for the same reason of food staying in the pouch longer than the drinks but i cant let go of them! if i have to i will though:( but i see nothing wrong with replacing a meal with it especially when i'm on the go. its better than nothing! so was it clarified if i can still have a Protein Shake as a snack?

  19. thanks!!! where can find this? so with isopure i guess i couldnt make a smoothie with it. thats what i enjoy the most. i like mixing soy milk, yogurt, banana and sometimes Peanut Butter to it ...oh with protein powder as a meal or snack. i guess i shouldnt have that as a snack since it could:confused:put weight on me??

  22. so should i be alarmed if the protein powder i am buying says its for weight GAIN? like i said, i'm just trying to verify if its true. does it make a difference which protein powder you buy that will make you gain weight??? is that the main purpose for them? lets dismiss whey, soy etc for a minute here. are there different TYPES of powder for weight gain, body builders and people that just want to get some protein in, like us??? (that was hard to get out!!! lol)

    lol..the lunchmeat and crackers....well, actually you know what, this is something new that i started eating, the lunchmeat that is. in the beginning i would not eat anything processed but since i wasnt noticing a difference in my weight loss i started easing those things in. the crackers i eat are not saltines by no means...lol. i eat townhouse wheat, wheatables multigrain. 5 are like 70 calories. alot of the choices you gave are good ones. i love chicken and like i mentioned i love tilapia. stuffed peppers are good. i havent made that in a long time and i just bought some peppers the other day. i like brocolli, carrots, hate tomatoes..YUCK, and i like spinach. the thing with spinach though is, i havent had it raw. i know i love it cooked in olive oil or a butter substitute etc. maybe i can get to like it raw or with less of the other stuff. this morning i am having yoplait yogurt light 100 calories snack-turket pastrami w/fat free cheese lunch- asian chicken salad:confused: dinner- i should be having tilapia w/some veggie

    i guess the food plan i like is low carbs, high protein. i hardly eat breads and have about 5-7 crackers as a snack if at all in a day. i just dont know what i should be eating now. it seems like everything i mentioned to you got shot down:think. what about lunchmeat? i started eating 2 pieces of turkey pastrami as a snack. is that not good? i guess really, in a nutshell, i should just things i that i cook myself. make fresh food with the exception of yogurts, milk, cheeses and such. . i just need to feel satisfied.
