I seem to be falling short on potassium intake. Anybody have any suggestions on how to improve this? I was told that it is very important to maintain my potassium levels. Any thoughts?

Don't freak out. It will be good. I was nervous as well but I am already glad I did it. Have faith in yourself. You did the research. Trust it. -

Sorry u forgot to say you will not see him until the post-op follow up. I was at the same hospital and they were good (for a hospital). Don't expect to he much sleep at the hospital. Start walking as soon as you are able. I walked 2 hours after I woke up and did not look back. Walk often. -

I had Dr. Nick. I had many conversations with Bee at his office to make sure what I was experiencing was normal. She is quick to say everything is normal. Pain was about par with average, from what I have heard in these blogs. I am 11 days out and have list 18lbs pre-op and 16 post-op. no catheter was used and I was out if the hospital the next day. The 3 weeks of liquid post ip is now my biggest challenge. I am not hungry, but u want to eat everything. Dr. Nick did a good job and I would say you are in good hands. -
I had my sleeve on the 7th of May. On Friday I was doing well. Very little gas pain. I was the closest I have gotten yet to 64oz of liquid and 70g of protein. Yesterday however was the start of a set back. I had really bad pains yesterday and it feels like I am stuffing myself to even have a sip of liquid. It takes me all day just to force down 20oz Isopure. I am not feeling any better today. I walk every 2 hours for 15 minutes, I use the little breathing thing every 4 hours, no solids all liquid per my surgeon. I have done everything that has been asked of me. What am I doing wrong? Is this normal? The way I feel I can't get enough liquids in to stay hydrated and not enough protein to heal. Should I be worried?

Isopure is not bad. I like the coconut flavor pretty well. They key to it is to keep it cold. I can relate to the how so I regress thoughts. Sleeping has been pretty good for me. I am a side sleeper however and that does not work well for me. If I sleep in my back I am in good shape. I wake up a couple of times a night, readjust my position and fall right back to sleep.

Tomorrow morning is surgery. The hesitation has struck. I have read many posts about the depression and regret that some have had, and it has made me pause. I know that I cannot keep weight off with out a crutch to keep me in check. That which does not kill me will make me stronger. Please let me know I am not alone. Please share your feelings the night before surgery.

Thank you all for the kind words. I have done my research. I should be comfortable with my choice. I have just made so many bad choices in the past. It is hard to trust myself. I know this is right. I have heard so many inspiring people on this and found that more people are happy they did this, than not. Just last minute jitters.
