This is the best post I've read all day on this forum! I am super excited that Dr. Attia is spearheading this daunting research!!! What if we do have it all wrong? I know this... My decision to get sleeved is mostly to fight what seems to be my diabetic fight for my life. It's not purely vanity and certainly not something I want to take insulin for the rest of my life.

I think my DH thinks I'm going to get skinny and leave him too... Little does he know how OVER AND DONE I am with dating PERIOD. I got all that out my system before I got married. I love being in a relationship and married. I think the weight has kept attraction from random strangers at bay for the most part but I still get "looks" even with the weight. I know it's probably going to get FAR WORSE as the pounds come off. I'm more worried about his reaction to people's reaction to me than about me ignoring it.

QUESTION: how well will we (post surgery) be able to move, pick up, hold, hug our toddlers? My DH is taking the week off but my sweet pea loves his mommy anyone?!
