  1. Now sure, it has only been a day and a half, but I'm actually surviving this... Being at work will be the real test on Monday, but all I have to do is make it 'till August 6th, then my surgery will happen... Protein is helping a ton, and I'm not TOOOO HANGRY! Is anyone else on the liquid diet right now and doing myfitnesspal? I'd like to see other people's menus.
  2. Doc won't be in till the morning, so can't check with his office. No dairy till next tue. Maybe an extra calcium citrate?
  3. For heartburn? I've got some of those, and docs approved em.
  4. So, I was instructed to take one of my extended release pills, the evening before 08/05 surgery. Wellbutrin XL 300m for those keeping track. So this afternoon, I had what I can only guess was 'the foamies' after swallowing the last sip of some juice (probably twice the size of my other sips-I've learned that lesson). For those with a weak stomach, stop reading. I had really bad nausea post-op, and threw up for about the first 24 hours, but hadn't thrown up since then... So, much to my surprise, there was something solid in the emesis. At first I assumed it was an anti nausea pill I had just taken, but that pill I had broken in half, so it was the wrong shape. I still had barf bags from the hospital, and that is what I had thrown up in, so it was transparent. It was a round pill. Well, with a lot of ab soap, hand sanitizer, and bravery, I squished the pill, and most of its contents came out. This was a pill I had taken 6 days ago, mind you. I retrieved the capsule, googled the labeling on it, still very clear and legible btw. The pic I took wasn't very clear, but the pill's coating still was. Could this have been the cause of my vomiting, or was it just the larger sip?
  5. I don't make it a habit of pawing through my own emesis, btw, I just was surprised to find solids in the bag after 3+ weeks of nothing solid.
  6. I've searched through these threads, trying to find a wholesaler who sold the large torani bottles for 4 each. I had a website, but can't find it any more... Does anyone know the site I'm thinking of?
  7. How did you ever get all of your liquids down?

Torani syrup at a restaurant supplier/wholesale

Nope, saw that post when I searched. That wasn't it.
  11. Are there any magazines or periodicals tailored to wls patients specifically? I'd prefer a physical periodical.

I remember a puréed recipe post a while ago... Does someone have the link, or could they bump it? Tanks!

    Ice cube trays?

How close to 2 tbsps do they typically hold? I can check when I get home, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone has already done the work.
  16. I promise. This was literally the most terrifying part of this process for me, and now I only have 5 days to go, of 17. You all can do it. This is from a guy who weighed 375 lbs. it doesn't even take a ton of willpower if you get enough Protein in... It is doable. Ie been out to eat with family, gone to a potluck, and picnic... You can do it. Yes, I want it to be over, I just wanted to encourage you all! Good luck.
  17. It probably no longer counted as a clear liquid, but I still ate it, after shipping, the stuff is $2 a serving.

    August 6'ers?

I'm totally at peace with the surgery - the scary part for me was the liquid diet, and that's almost over.

    Sodas

I used to drink at least. 2 liter of diet soda a day... I don't drink any anymore. Sometimes it isn't convenient, but I'm probably a better person for it.
