Sushi/sashimi/handrolls.
karpouzian replied to nesa83's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may also see these labelled as soy nuts. They were the mail reason I got protein at months 3-4 or so! -
I personally waited until mushy foods. Just concentrate on liquids during your liquid phases, trust me, that alone will be tough

What type of foods and how much in one sitting can you eat 1 year after gastric sleeve surgery?
karpouzian replied to sunny2day's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm six months out and I can eat a hard shell taco, and that's about my limit... Seven ounces seems impossible right now. -
My wife and I went out to eat last night for our anniversary, and we had a long talk about food, eating out, eating in, etc. I think she may have a more difficult time adjusting than I will to all of the changes in our lives... Does anyone know of a forum for spouses that I can maybe have her look at?

These are my family's new pancake recipe. My non-op wife loves them, and my 5 yr old son can't get enough of them! We make the. On the weekends, I add a splash of vanilla.

10 weeks out and don't feel like eating...
karpouzian posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm about 10 weeks out, and I just don't feel like eating lately - anything except for greek yogurt and sugar free popsicles... Any other suggestions on what to 'eat'? I can't cope with Protein shakes.... Maybe I should go back on soft/mushies... -
Has anyone made this? What's the consistency after it is baked?

Bar or Shake as a meal replacement?
karpouzian posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Does anyone who is at goal ever regularly use a bar or a shake as a meal replacement? -
Crystal lite (even diluted) is too sweet, powerade zero doesn't do it for me anymore, water is the most tolerable thing right now, and that isn't very tolerable. I hate mio and the cl 'drops'.. What else are people drinking besides water? Gatorade is way too sweet, also.

7 days and kids want mcdonalds
karpouzian replied to nyorker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had their scrambled eggs this am, well, about 1/8th their scrambled eggs, but in my defense. I did have a 7am procedure about 1/2 hour from my home. They were fine. -
7 days and kids want mcdonalds

The small ranch wrap with no tortilla is under 100 calories, good in protein. The scrambled eggs are good in protein. McDonald's can be sorta healthy if you do it right. -
Fire your pcp. If they are not on board now, how do you know they will be after the fact.

My advice is to just follow the first few pages of the 54 page bariatric surgery document to the letter. Cigna is really fast with approval/denials, though it may not feel like it right now. Just do exactly what they want, and you'll be fine.

My team believes I have a stricture, so I'm having a dilated endoscopy to fix it... Now, I think I'm freaking myself out, but a -dilated- endoscopy makes me think they're going to stretch out my sleeve, rendering less effective... I've read too much 'advice' thanks to google... Is anyone a ways out, and had to have a dilated endoscopy, and is still losing/have lost all of their weight?

Does anyone's nut's/surgeons have a really good phase 4 eating plan? (IE 'normal' foods). My nut laid out phase 0-3 very clearly, but phase 4 just basically says, you can't eat much, so eat healthy... I prefer a 'bit more structure. Any thoughts?

Maybe I'll try some of that, too.

Chopped up, or whole leaf?

Premade like Arizona iced tea, or something like that?

Excited to be posting in the post op thread... I know this is a stupid question, but I just started purées, and am having some difficulty telling when I start to feel full. Ay thoughts?

Is there a website or a piece of software I could -easily- add separate ingredients, specify a serving size, and get the nutrition info?

I'm considering plastic surgery after I lose 175 lbs for the loose skin, not anything else, really... How much would something like that cost outside of the good, old us of a? Ho much would it cost in the states?
