Hello world My name is Kaila and I am 26 years old going on my post op VSG journey. Even with months of preparation it is pretty hard to think that the time has come, passed, and I am now living it. I hope to meet people going through the same thing as me becaues I absolutely believe that even though your friends and family maysupport you it is truley difficult to understand unless they also live a life of obesity, coming to terms with what got you there, and why this was your chace to fix it. I am an emotional eater, but doing this has made me and my husband closer, because now instead of hiding behind a burger I lean on his sholder.

I love my family more and more every day. I am particuarly quiet and keep to myself but those close to me are always close.I am currently in Fort Carson with my husband who is stationed here, and once he is out of the military we will be heading home back to New Hampshire. I cannot wait to start my new life all over again!
