Did a delayed digest test and came back that I am experiencing dumping syndrome with every meal. I don't drink before or after and my didn't hasn't drastically changed. What can be done with sleeveers and dumping syndrome like this?

KayCTheNewMe started following Itching, dumping syndrome, delayed gastric emptying? and and 7 others

So since I've moved back home I have been having what I can only describe as lurching fits; it feels like I am trying to throw up but cant. Has anyone had this problem? Worst case scenario is that I will need to transition to a full bypass. For now they have me on reglan, which can cause Parkinson like symptoms...im debating on what seems worse at this point lol Has anyone ever had to go thru this? And if so, what was the outcome?

I didn't drink from strawa right away but I do now. Ive learned how to drink with them so that I dont inhale the air lol its wierd but its normal now

I have the centrum chewable multivitamin and take 2 to 3 a day. I dont take 2 at once but I take them a lot easier than the Briatric advantage. I couldnt do them at all post op -
back and joint pain still?
KayCTheNewMe replied to KayCTheNewMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hopefulky something to look forward to then! I know my back is going to be bad because I have scoliosis in my lower back by my tailbone and a nerve going through it pinches no matter what but my tailbone always feels bruised like Ive been sitting for days and the upper back just feels compressed. Its absolutely miserable -
Pre op, starting as a teenager when I wasnt that overweight, I had back and knee pain so bad I was in the er more timea than I can count, especially for my back. So of course gaining 100 lbs didnt help. Im down 70lbs and only 40 to go but my back and knees are actually WORSE than before. I know damage done is damage done but I figured id still somewhat improve. Daily I am in so much pain by the end of the night I am.crying or stuck in bed or on the couch. So my question is has anyone gotten worse pain since losing the weight? If so what options did you have? I am hoping when I get home, I will get sometging better than lidacane patches and capsaicin cream

I am so sorry that you're going through this did they offer help before hand and are now backing out? Not that either way is ok. It makes me nuts hearing of stories like this because it's such an important and stressful surgery that my first thought is to help those you love so they have every chance to succeed. If I was closer is help you!! Just remember when they want something that you're busy or forgot. They'll get the hint -
Hello All! So my family and I have to drive from Colorado to New Hampshire and this is my first trip this long post op. I know of some good refridgerated snacks like fruit and cheese but what of some nice non refridgerated stuff that's not apple sauce ? I can only take so much of that lol im 6 months post op so as long as its not beef or high in carbs and sugar id love some suggestions!

I think I remember my surgeon saying 30% but I could be wrong
-
But I was only out of work 2 days. My surgeon did a great job working around the scar tissue and I healed within a week. But if you have the option to take it out during ur sleeve, I say do it lol saves a lot of hassle later
-
I had to have mine out 4 months post, but I had gallstones for 3 months before they found them (thank you army docs) so 1 month post op is when the complications happened
-
It does. I didnt start having the itching and stuff until maybe 3 weeks out. I went for my stiches checked and the rash was still getting worse. I think that was at 4 weeks. And with the gallbladder, which happened 4 months after, happened faster and much worse because I was already exposed to it. It was so annoying but nothing they could do to make it speed up

Regular food...
KayCTheNewMe replied to 140icandoit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was eating regular foods at 6 weeks but just introducing new stff really slow and only having a few small bites to make sure it agreed -
I had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia and it was uncontrolled itching. I also got a rash from head to toe (every one of my pores were red). My surgeon also thought it could be a reaction to the sulfer in the morphine they give you during and post op.it went away after a couple weeks but it was incredibly annoying! I had the same reaction after having my gallbladder out, so thats why they figures anesthesia. Unfortunately benadryl is all u can do
