    Cooked veggies

Hi all I am 5 weeks out now. We are headed out if town tomorrow and I am wondering if cooked veggies like squash and zucchini are ok now. I have had eggs, tuna, fish, and all have gone down really well. Also, when is a salad alright?

    Excersice

How long before you all started working out? I am 3 weeks post op yesterday and feeling great. Incisions are healed and closed, tolerating my diet very well and have had no problems. I started riding my bike a few days ago but just wanted to get others input.

    When can you shake?

I'm sure! I read somewhere people eating eggs the first few days and I couldn't believe it! In my mind I will much better when I can get some protein and nutrients in.

    When can you shake?

How long until you were allowed protein shakes? I have to wait until Tuesday but I am ready, feeling pretty tired!

    Pillow or Stuffed Bear?

I guess it just depends on each case, but I didn't have an ounce of pain other than gas pains. Wishing that for you. Walking was simple too, I think I walked slower Andorra painful after a normal birth. Good luck!

    Quick question

I was sleeves on Monday, so this is post op day 4. I am on clear liquids until Tuesday when I see the dr. Have done great so far. I'm really tired if sugar free Popsicles and broth. A friend brought up going to get snow come ice and they have sugar free calorie free carb free flavor toppings. Do you thjnk this would be ok? Not much difference than Chrystal light is it?

    Sleeved today

Great info! I am feeling better today, not near as much gas pain. I slept well and now I'm waiting to do the barium swallow. Then we will see what liquids I can tolerate I am not sure, but I actually think I am hungry, like legitimately hungry...my stomach kind of burns like it does when it's growling you know?? Who knows!

    Sleeved today

Ok thanks for your info . I have myself been wondering how the gas gets from your abd cavity into your intestines to be expelled. Just ready for it to happen, any ideas when to expect it?

    Sleeved today

Hi all, I was sleeved today and the only pain I am having is gas. Im having a little nausea associated with the anesthesia. My dr doesn't offer anything for gas excep walking (which I have been doing all day). I brought done gas x strips with me, is there any harm in using them on day #1?? This gas is awful. Any of y'all use the gas x strips while still in the hospital?? Thanks!!
