My surgery is on July 1st and I'm scared! Kinda having second thoughts about the whole thing. Also...I've been sick with the stomach flu for the past 3 days...leave it to me to get sick a week before major surgery. Did anyone else almost back out at the last minute?

So I went and got my passport picture taken and filed my application! In my eyes that makes it official! Yay for moving in a positive direction!!!

I've been trying to get ready but unfortunately I came down with some weird stomach bug and I haven't been able to keep anything down...and my tummy is very angry with me. Needless to say, it figures I would be the one getting sick a week before major surgery

You didn't eat a bag of nuts out of the mini bar did you?!? Those run about 80 bucks a bag...

Your body has just endured an extremely traumatic event. Give yourself time to heal before you worry about stalls. Just keep doing what your doing and the weight will come off...do you measure yourself? I would suggest taking a break from the scale and using a tape measure instead. Sometimes the scale can be deceiving...and you might be losing inches. Better yet, just throw the damn scale away and free yourself from that worry for awhile...the weight will still come off even if you aren't weighing every week.

I feel like the date is just sneaking up on me!

I'm officially starting my preop diet today leading up to my surgery on July 1st! Who else is gonna be at the marriot in Tijuana on 4th of July?...I doubt we will be seeing any fireworks:( I'm glad I get to avoid all the bbqs though!

I used to work at an after school program and I had a little girl break my heart one day. She was in 1st grade and her mom had been in a really bad car accident. The little girl came up to me after snack one day and wrapped her arms around me...and said "your really squishy like my mom..." ...so yeah I've been called "squishy".

I LOVE your attitude! I tell women all the time...stop weighing yourself every single day! They worry so much about stalls and one pound fluctuations..but in the grand scheme of things, the weight will come off and there are so many other things to stress about... you look awesome! Good job!

My arm always stays sore for a long time.....I wouldn't worry to much about it

Yeah...usually I can roll with the punches but as my surgery date gets closer and my preop diet gets more intense...I am running out of patience!! Do you think the preop diet defense would stand up in a court of law? I think it's similar to the Twinkie defense! Lol

I've decided to start my pre op diet a month before July 1st surgery date and...so far I am feeling pretty good. I went to the Vitamin shoppe today and picked up some samples of the Syntrax nectars Protein drinks...so far I have tried the Caribbean one and as long as I put a lot of ice...it tastes really delicious! Did anyone else start their preop diet early? How much weight did you lose?

My mom and I are headed down on July 1st for my surgery! I'm super excited that my mom is able to accompany me, however we can only stand to be around eachother for so long if you know what I mean. I was Hoping she would be able to stay at the hotel at night instead of in the hospital with me. Did anyone else have their companion stay at the hotel? Is there anything for them to do throughout the day aside from staring at you after surgery? Lol! I'm having my surgery on July 1st at MiDoctor with dr Ortiz. Is anyone else scheduled to be down and around there at that time?

Man...I haven't even had my surgery yet but I'm already working to change my habits...meaning I've given up soda, fast food, and most carbs in preparation for my surgery...and my family is driving me crazy! I am the youngest of four and my thee older siblings are a bunch of freaking duds! My oldest brother livings in the shed behind my house, he is almost 40, out of work, doesn't pay any bills and is constantly lying. In addition, I have to deal with all his tweaked out friends that never seem to want to leave. My next brother is about 32ish and he visits often, breaking into my house whenever I'm not home to help himself to whatever is in the fridge...he also lets his friends into my house when I'm not home and leaves the house smelling like marijuana whenever he leaves. Then there is my sister...she is almost 30 and she is bipolar, schizophrenic, and addicted to meth...I can't trust her to come into the house because something always goes missing....she also thinks I am basically the devil and the worst person in the world for some reason...I guess the voices in her head said so. Basically, I've had to call the police on her and have her committed...I was the one that found her last year when she attempted to kill herself and then at the hospital...the crisis workers blamed me and asked me why I wasn't able to keep a better eye on her... Despite all of their shortcomings, they are my siblings and I have always tried to be there for them. I work hard at my job to pay the bills and buy groceries only to come home the next day and all the food I just bought will be eaten already. Sometimes when I get super pissed off I just want to get in my car...go to McDonald's and get a 20 piece nuggets and a large fry! Sorry about the long post but I just had to get it all out...they are driving me crazy! What must it be like to have supportive and loving siblings that don't steal everything from you...and treat you like they actually care...I'm only 23 years old and I've been fat my whole life..all I've ever done is take care of my family. I dropped out of high school at 17 to start working....I don't have friends over to my house because my family is...well you get the picture. Because of my brothers, I've grown so mistrustful of people, especially men...so now most relationships with me are doomed before they even start...but I am just gonna keep a positive mental attitude whenever I can and hope for the best and try to remember to see the good in people.....

I am looking for people who are heavily tattooed...mainly on your arms. My arms are almost completely sleeved and then I also have a large upper back piece. My tattoos have been one of the only pretty things about me for years now and...they are a rather large investment. I just hope that my weight loss doesn't destroy them!
