How is all my bandland buddies doing? You guys are a great support group, I see all the teachers are getting ready to go back to work(you guys are the best), hard working, caring and underpaid. On another note, I'm still in bandsterHELL, I'm not losing much, just maintaing,I really changed my diet, It was amazing how much garbage I use to eat, it sucks having no restriction, two more weeks, and hopefully that will change. Today is my Granmas' B-day 83 years old, she is an amazing women, RedLobster tonight, it's her favorite. We are leaving for the beach tomorrow, so excited, I'm down between 17-22 lbs, it depends on how many pickles I eat, my wife thinks I'm the one who is pregnant. I love my band so much, this is kind of weird, but I like the fact that I have no restrction and can eat anything I want, don't get me wrong, I want a fill asap, and get to my goal weight. But I was thinking about when I get to my goal weight, on certain holidays I can have a feast once in a while, that does put a big smile on my face. My wife and her family are great cooks all downhome Paula Dean style cooks, everything is homemade. Anyway I'll miss you all next week, I wish everyone the best, Danny

I want to start out by saying,"I'm not affaliated with ready4achange" , I had my surgery perfomed by Dr. Zapata, Monday, July 9th, 2007. I had a wonderful expierence, It has been 3 and a half days, I'm down 14 lbs., feeling very well. Everything they said that was going happen, happened. They were on time to pick me up, the hospital was very modern and extremely clean, the hotel was nice and they were very professional. I would highly reccomend them. Now there are plenty of other Drs. in Mexico, I would say to you(Do your homework), educate yourself, this site has been amazing, I have learned so much from everyones' past expiences. The friends I have made, the support on this site, Don't be afraid to post. Don't be afraid to ask questions. I had lapband surgery for one main reason(to be healthy), I'm 33 yrs. old, a 120lbs. overweight, and tried every diet plan in America, I needed something more. Hopefully this tool will help me reach my main goal, to be a healthy Father and husband. I'm a typical man, never thought I needed support, boy oh boy was I wrong, listening to from everyones expierence really opened my outlook on making this descision. If anyone has any Questions I will try real hard to answer all of them, for this was the best thing I have ever done. Good luck to everyone thinking about living a healthy lifestyle. and my family, thought I was crazy, but I'm 34 no health issues yet, but it runs in my family, stroke, heart disease, high Blood pressure, diabetes, my parents were like, you should diet harder, I have been dieting for 7 years, I got banded July 9th of this year, love my band, its just a tool, my wife is excited, we have a 3 yr old and one on the way, I did it for my health, and my wife and children, good luck on whatever you decide, Danny It's like Nike(Just do it) your health is more important than whatever people think

If he is cheating, he has to go, call me old fashioned, but once a cheater always a cheater, I do not believe in 2nd chances, thats a bond of trust that is broken, I do not think I could ever heal from that, I think I would have to much anger and rage at my wife if that was going to happen, we took vows under God, thats something that is extemely important to me, I had all my fun in my early to mid 20's now I'm going to be 34 this month with my 2nd child on the way. If I was to cheat my wife would leave me, and I know that for a fact, I don't think I could respect her if she stayed. I would never want my litlle Callie girl away from her mom and dad, I could not envision life without my wife Leila and Callie. Yes , he was awsome, ready4change is the web site, There were 3 of us taht day, everything went as planned, they picked me up at the airport on time(driver spoke English) STRAGHT TO THE HOSPITAL, Immaculate, very clean, and modern, never seen one so nice, surgery went well, nurses are very sweet, speak little english but I manged, stayed at the sheraton 4 points , very nice and clean, only 3 english channels, if you have alltel service you can change your plAN TO INTERNATIONAL, so phone worked, watched a lot of dish on demand movies $10.00 apiece, there is a mall that connects to the shereton, did a lot of walking, felt very safe, everything they promised, it was kept, he is an amazing Dr. I would highly recommend him, good luck, Danny

From ab out day 4 I was in hell, so hugry, I started eggs and cottage cheese, I probably was not suppose to, after two weeks I could eat anything, if I had to do it all over again I would have stayed on the diet as recommended, because I lost 15lbs. the first week and 3-5lbs. since, I need a fill asap!! Danny Kim you were born on the greatest day in the world!(Ha, Ha) hope everything is going well, Danny Dini, give him the benefit of the doubt, guys hate communicating, there is something in our brain, probably a defieciancy were kind of messed up creatures, just be straight forward with him, ask him why? we like direct questions, if he is up to something he will be beating around the bush, I don't tell my wife I'm talking to a bunch of women on here, but when that cruise comes up, I'll be excited and tell her to get ready, and she will be happy, I do not feel like I'm doing anything wrong talking to all of you . You have a buetiful little girl who needs her Daddy, I would try to talk with him, its hard for guys to show and discuss our feelings, we are taught to be strong, not to worry, to be a man, the mushy, gushy feelings are very hard for us to talk about. I'm sure he loves you very much, he has a lot on his mind, you are getting better from surgery(I'm sure he worried about that, but did'nt show it), Try being direct, simplicity, it works we are simple, not very complex, I have to tell myself everyday, hold my wife, hug her, tell her I love her, sit down talk to her, I know this should be normal for you women, but it is not for me, I have to constaqntly remind myself, honestly I have learned a lot by reading what all of you write on here, Dini its going to be alright, as long as he does not hit you, verbally abuse you, or cheat on you, he will come around if you use direct, simple questions, you girls are a lot more complex, you girls have all the power, just learn how to use it, Danny

Were you dealing with a company off the internet? Whenever a I build a house for a person that gets a construction loan off the internet it is the biggest headache in the world, and so is bank of america, thier main headquarters I believe in Texas, everything seems to go wrong with thier loan depaartment, I personally bank with them, so convienat, atms' everywhere, but I hate dealing with them, things that take usually 4 weeks takes 8-12. but anyway, 20lbs AMAZING!!!, hOW WAS THAT FIRST FILL, DID YOU NEED IT, I need one so, so ,so BAD!!! Doing well, started exercising, starting to lose a little, down about 20lbs, I hope you all are doing well. I miss writing you guys everyday, just been so busy, we goto hear the heartbeat tomorrow, I hope everything goes well. I'm so excited about being a Dad again. Signed my 3yr old up for gymnastics, tonight is the first class, as you see, the work never ends. I can't wait for my first fill, it will be on my b-day Aug, 23rd, My restriction is nowhere to be found, I pretty sure I can eat the same or real close to the same pre surgery, its kind of scary, seeing 15- 17lbs in the first week, 3-5 since then. Anyway no portpain, scars are healing nicely. Lynette I think I'm going to refi my house here shortly, any recomendations, I heard countrywide was really good. I got so lucky with my house, my grandma, bought me 6 acres about 7 years ago, she paid 15,000 for a wedding present, I saved up almost all the lumber for previous jobs for almost 10 years, I had most of the doors, windows, cabinets, blocks, etc. I did all the labor with 4 close friends,except ac, roof, sheetrock, I spent a little more than 30 grand, and when we had that explosion in the market, they appraised my house for alomost 350,000. I'm very fortunate to be in this situation, I hope 10 more years of building, roughly 45 I can retire, thats a goal, 45 healthy and travel the world. I hope everyones' doing well, Glad to see your back Michelle. It's been 18 days, and I'm down 18lbs. , but I feel like I'm in bandsters hell, no more swelling, no port pain, and I can eat anything, i need a fill ASAP. I can eat bread, meat,etc.. Lynette, I'm sorry about those pancakes, that seemed really rough. I have been so busy with work, and family, I guess the bad thing is I lost the 18lbs. in the first week, and just maintained. I'm scheduled for a fill in St. Pete (fill centers usa), on my birthday Aug. 23rd that will be the best present in the world. My wife is getting better with the morning sickness, we go on Aug 3rd for the heartbeat(very excited). I'm going to start excersing on Monday, Cardio, cardio and more cardio I hope that will boost my metabilism. Good luck to all you Lucky # 7s' Danny

Thank you for all the help, please tell me all that you Know about DR. Joya, I'm going to be banded soon, I'm self pay, I'm stuck between Ortiz, Rombaut, alverez and Joya. I'm lening towards Joya because of the all inclusive package($8,000.00) icluding air. I do not want this to be all about price. I want the best care possible. I like Mexico, The Carribbean, It really does not matter with me, I will be bringing my wife, I might bring my 3 yr old if other children will be there, but my lttle girl can stay with her grandparents. Wherever we go would be just fine with me, Danny

Hello everyone, just giving you all my one week post op report. I feel great, slight port pain(very tolerable), still bloated, liquids do not make me full any longer, went to scrambled eggs with a little ketup, and cottage cheese, and a strawberry smoothie, This makes a big difference. I'm down 17lbs,and can actually see my face getting thinner(a motivational uplift). We have a lot of people getting surgery today, my thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. We want a speedy recovery. I hope everyone is doing well, Danny

He did not pay for your surgery, you owe him, nor anyone nothing. Lynette, I like your diet plan, very structured, you women are so organized. About the vacation, I feel the same way you do, don't care when or where, I love cruises, been on at least 10, I personally like the 3-4-5 day ones, usually after that I was getting kind of bored and broke(damn casinos), and a lot of the times its hard for me to get a full week off of work, I build houses, trust me homeowners want to know where there builder is at, AT ALL TIMES!!!!

Hey Lynette, how are you doing? My wife is due Feb. 17th 2008, so excited, she has a lot of gas bubbles, nasuae, I feel so bad for her, in mexico she got plenty of rest, it's kind of funny I think I feel bettet than she does. Women in general are amazing, us guys are the week ones, thats why God chose women for childbirth, because men could not handle it. Lynette, are you getting hungry at all? Last night, I was starving, so at 11:30 i ate two scrambled eggs, chewed them until they liquified in my mouth, that helped so much. Talk to you later Danny Oh yea, whats the latest on the cruise???

Hello everyone, its Saturday mid morning, at work again. I'm feeling so good, the port pain is a lot better, and the bloating and soreness is almost gone, I'm down 15 lbs in 4 and a half days(excited). I can't wait for the cruise. Have we decided where and when? Maybe I can turn my flabs into abs(HA, HA). I want to tell everyone THANK YOU, for the amazing support you guys have been to me, I look forward to going to read everyones replies, I feel like I know all of you so well, I hope we have a full cruise ship full of bandsters. That calender is really filling up, Chimberee has done such a great job. I will keep this group in my prayers and hope all of you are doing well, Danny
