Rode 10 minutes this morning for another 2.5 miles. Total now stands at 54.1 miles. I am still fighting this stall. It is getting frustrating but not stopping me.

    100 mile challenge

Well, I accomplished my goal this weekend of making 50 miles by Sunday night. I walked for 1.52 miles and rode the recumbent bike for 5.12 miles which put me at 6.64 miles today and a total so far of 51.6 miles. Feeling great!! I go Wednesday for my 1 month post op visit.

    100 mile challenge

Whew...pushed myself a little tonight and enjoyed it! I walked 2.27 miles earlier today. I just rode 4 miles in just over 15 minutes averaging 15.7 mph which is up a little over 1 mph for me. That put me at 6.27 miles today and a grand total so far of 42.2 miles. My goal of breaking 50 miles by Sunday night is within reach!!

    100 mile challenge

I agree I need more water and actually do get closer to 64oz. Sometimes it is still difficult to get more liquids down as well as my meals to keep my proteins and calories where they need to be. I am just now coming up on 4 weeks post op so I guess it gets a little easier with time.

    100 mile challenge

Great advice everyone and thanks for the help. I will definately get more water in everyday. I know water is very important so it all makes sense. Now, I didn't mean to highjack the 100 mile post so let's all get back to work! My goal is to break 50 miles by Sunday night, that's about 13 miles if I remember correctly. I hope everyone else stays on track with the routines. This is a great challlange and I would love to see it continue even after this month. It has been motivating for me. Time to go walk some and drink some water. Have a great day everyone!!

    100 mile challenge

I will be 4 weeks post op on Monday. I do usually hit the 64oz mark for water but always have a minimum of 48oz daily. My proteins have been high but calories are not as high as they should be I guess. This past week I was getting between 750 and 900 calories a day. I eat something every few hours or have a protein shake. I wonder where I should be calorie wise at 4 weeks out? I go in next week for my 1 month post op visit so I will make sure to ask. I feel great every day, just not sure about this past week.

    100 mile challenge

Wow...I am feeling a little deflated this morning. I guess I have hit the infamous stall or plateau. Even though I have increased my recumbent bike rides and walking, I have gained 4 pounds this week. I am getting in a minimum of 70 grams of protein each day and a minimum of 48oz of water in daily. I know this is normal at some stage but just a bummer after putting in so much hard work. That's ok, time to push thru it and get past 50 miles and things will turn around. Have a great day everyone.

Well, I didn't ride this morning as planned...I was upset with myself. I walked 2.67 miles today and just finished riding the recumbent bike 3.78 miles. That puts me at 33.5 miles towards the 100 miles. Keep it up everyone! Great job!

    100 mile challenge

Well, I had a good day today. Felt great all day. I even mowed the yard this morning for the first time since surgery. It was a piece of cake. I used Map My Walk while mowing. I walked .51 miles while mowing the front yard. I didn't use it on the back yard...to small. Funny thing is, the diagram on Map My Walk looks like I was drunk and walking in circles. Then while watching the Saints beat up on the Falcons, I rode the recumbent bike for 3.16 miles in 12:47 averaging 14.8mph. I have been building up my pace a little. Then this evening I got board and decided to go for another ride, so off to the garage I went. I rode 3.0 miles in 11:41 averaging 15.4mph. So, that puts me at 6.67 miles for the day and a total of 23.2 miles for the challenge.
