Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Never, This surgery did help me to lose all this weight and i'm grateful. But in return it cost me my stomach and a few scars. I don't really care about those scars but the stomach i really care about. I'm trying to bulk and its very hard with my small stomach. I'm 10 months post up and I can't eat enough amount of Protein. I jog 5k everyday in under 30 mins. I really didn't knew I had it in me. If i only pushed myself before doing the surgery. I would've done it alone Its not that i'm not grateful but I could've done it naturally. -
I started going to college 2 weeks after my surgery, never really had any problem. just getting late for class because my friends finally noticed that I've changed and lost weight

Very thirsty. I can drink more than normal?
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to gibson_girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should slow down, but your fine If you have a leak you will notice believe me. you will feel strong pain and a high heart beat and probably pass out. I never heard that someone got a leak from drinking too much liquid. -

Mohammed Alshamsi replied to gibson_girl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It depends, how long did u do your surgery. I wouldn't recommend drinking a lot of water you may get a leak. just drink small sips of water, and make sure you are eating, maybe you're just hungry -
3 weeks Post-op with no weight loss for 6 days
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to BlueBonnet's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Its very normal for your weight loss to stop at some point. At one month I only lost around 3 lbs and the next months I lost 15 lbs. Just make sure you're not starving yourself and keep drinking Water. walk 20 mins if the doctor allowed it. Good luck!! -
what do you eat for breakfast?
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to MK1986's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Protein Smoothies
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to karen353's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There is a lot of protein types, you can make at home by blinding fruits and milk. Or you can get protein powder, like whey protein which is taken from milk. It's personal preference, I recommend natural protein smoothies you can find recipes in the Internet. -
10 months out and diwn 105 pounds
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to stellabug321's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used to be 310 lbs and currently I'm 209, I want to reach 180 just 30 pounds to go. We will make it its just a matter of time. -
I believe VSG is much better, i'm 10 months post op, and I can't understand why people even think about RNY. I lost 100lbs and almost no muscle lost. so losing muscles should not be your concern. And believe me once you lose weight you will never wanna go back. you just have to stay motivated.

Started my journey on July 2012. Starting weight was 310 and now 209lbs. 100lbs gone 30 more then I will start my second stage (bulking) to get rid of the excess skin and achieve the body I always dreamed about. I no longer wear 5x shirt or 47 pants, I don't look like a hip hop rapper with shirts hanging to my knees. I wear xl shirts and pants that i borrowed from my brother I usually run away when a picture is taken, but after losing weight I got more self confidence here is a picture my friend somehow was able to take it Last year, I loved Burger king Today And im also down 4 lbs this week reaching 205lbs XD

Mohammed Alshamsi replied to Mohammed Alshamsi's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks buddy, I'm glad to find someone around my stats. We will do this Thanks guys -
Hello everyone, I've been viewing this forum before my surgery and a lot of the information helped me. I did my vsg on july 2012 and i've lost more than 100lbs in 10 months which i'm really happy about. But soon I will be going to the military camp for 3 months which explains the topic title. I can handle the drills but the food!! we have three meals per day and I'm only allowed 1-2 min to eat. and i can't eat that much in 2min. there is no way they are gonna give me more time. I'm concerned that if i didn't eat the proper amount required I will be tired all the time and I will lose my muscles and not fat. I already delayed the camp due to my weight in the past, but this could be my last chance. please help

Negative Boyfriend
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to Stranger 123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
breaking a 2 year relationship is not something to judge so fast. I believe you should take time and think about it, doesn't matter how many people says you should dump him, if u made the wrong choice you will regret it not them. some problems are solved alone and I really hope you guys get along well. -

I cant eat T.T
Mohammed Alshamsi replied to Mohammed Alshamsi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried a new stunt today. I timed myself 2mins and ate as fast as i could. The trick was to eat quickly before my brain notice my stomach is full. It took me 2mins to eat what i usually eat in 20-30 mins. I did feel some pain but not that strong. I know this is dangerous but what do u guys think? -
