    Do you feel like an athlete?

    Finished my first 20min non stop run yesterday. I know its not much and i only hit 4.4mph on C25k week 5. But it was a victory for me.

  3. Hey thanks Losing, JM and Karen! Karen youll be fine! It does mean a great deal to me that you said congrat! as when i told my 16 yr old daughter she said ' how fast?' , 'oh 4.4mph'...'thats it? huh'. Yeah thanks honey. The hot tub is med. Can sit about 5 or 6 on each side and one or 2 at the end. So its bout 6ft by 12ft i would say. I only go in when no one else is in it which is quite oftern. The thanksgiving crap is getting to me. I bought a bag of Hershey Kisses with Carmel today. Laid out 7 which is 200 calories and ate them like it was nothing! Crap! eat about 5 more than gave the bag to my skinny daughter. Funny how i NEVER get stuck or full with candy, I ate a granola bar as they always make me seem full. Ok here is the picture of my 20min jog. (I think).
  4. Nope i surely didnt. I lifted weights today and swam. CRAZY woman was back in the hotub yesterday. Still got her clothes on and pinned together. This time she was walking laps in the hot tub!
  5. Ok i did the 20min jog last night! wooo hooo. Me ! Ran for 20 mins. I have a picture of it i may post later. but i t felt good to know i could make it! It wasnt all THAT bad either. Well im running out the door. Check in later.

    post it up JM. Dust bunnies under the bed were breeding way to quick. i think there was a colony under there. I cant wait to do that 20min run now--is that sick or what? My cat is LOVING having me home for the week.

  10. i went to the y at 8am today (ilove vacation!) and did week 5 workout 2. Basically 2 8min runs with a 5 min walk. Not too bad! I think im ready to hit that 20 min run now sure was nice not having to get up at 4am to get to the ymca. So far today i have been doing a Ton of housework. 4 women make ALOT of laundry. Wait...isnt this surposed to be vvacation! at least the vacuum burns calories. I better get well rewarded for this!

    Office Worker tips.

    Ok this is a place for us office workers to exchange tips. I work here 7am - 5pm 5 days a week and i travel about 11 weeks of the year from Oct to April on and off. Right now in our lunch room there are Haloween Cookies and im avoiding it like crazy! I can share some of my office eating habits and a few tips. Ok here is the first. I keep a 12LB dumbbell in my cubie and when im talking on my hands free cordless phone i just curl away. I wonder what the guy on the other end of the phone would think!
  12. Sorry your have a hard time JM! Gosh i LOVE pb cups. Who the heck invented those things. It feels weird going to the gym at 8am on a weekday. Im doing the Ymca weigh in today. Weigh in after is Jan 8th.

    Hey i really like this thread. It gives me great insperation!! I really respect what you all had to say. I had my band aug 07 and am down 65 lbs now. I started swimming every day as i was a little worried about a 440 lb man running! LOL Anyways after swimming about an hour everyday i worked up the courage to start a running program!. At 390 ! i started couch to 5k. I am doing ok at it but sometimes i think i am WAY to heavy to be running. I did hurt my knee on week 3 a little but this was because i was going to fast and not resting my legs every other day. I still workout everyday with swimming and weight lifting but im up to week 5 this week on C25k. i constantly think i am just too heavy and i look so stupid on the treadmill but i do enjoy it. Looking at your stats really encourages me. In the last 4 weeks i was down 12lbs but some of it is my body changing. I am REALLY a newbie at running but it is something i would like to pursue. JulieNYC---we all talk about your Marathon over on C25k thread..your our hero over there.

    I agree. Now i feel when ive had enough...its frustrating if something tastes really good...but if you try and push past the pain ...oh boy...TROUBLE!

    Fills?

    Hey i am no doctor! the top 3 band problems: 1 band slip 2 Band Erosion 3 port flippin. The first two when the band is too tight it rubs very hard on the stomach wall and can caue eroision or slipage. My doc said overfilling will cause this. Listen though...im no doc so ask yours next time you in for some lead in the tank.

  19. yeah i was looking at that 20min run too,. If i can do it that will really be a HUGE accomplishment for me.
  20. Hey Karen i did week 5 day 1 yesterday 2. felt good to know i could do it. tomorrow will be day 2 week 5. i screwed it up though and did 4 5min runs instead of 3. becareful on week 5 not everyday is the same on it.

  22. You know i just noticed, I did 4 5 min runs today instead of 3 as i didnt read the info properely. oooops,. Well im still here. Had SOOO much fun shopping in those christmas crowds.

  25. Saturaday . Did week 5 workout 1. Phew ..not too bad. Kinda crazy in and out today.
