    Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?

    100lbsforsale...lol i like that name! Yeah it can get boring on a treadmill. I ran outside for a few days a few weeks ago while i was in Florida and it was WAYYY more interesting and fun. Now im back in Wisconsin and back on the treadmill. Luluc makes a VERY good point here...download new songs as much as you can. Keep it interesting. Also i mix it up...right now im doing runnning and swimming every other day and then weightlifting and my spin class on the other days. Goal!....this is important! I signed up for some runs this year...my first is a 5k in two weeks. That motivates me to keep trainning at it. Then i have a 10k in June also. I cant wait. There is a Dualathlon i want to try to...run 5k ..cycle 22miles...run 5k. The triathons are a little scary for me right now as i dont want to deal with the wet suit and swimming in a lake in WI is a little scary. But im hopeing to do them soon.

    good job so far!!!! I would just let it roll! maybe it will melt away that way:) ppl know your doing to lose weight. I probably look treible when i run but i had to make a decision not to let that hold me back. so i say jelly:lol:

    wow its gona heat a crazy heat wave of 40f here today. My gosh i better put on my shorts and sunscreen lol. Friday or Sat i have to pick up my pimped out bike from the bike shop. Steff....i always here to please you! I got TOns of work to do before i fly out again on Sunday....i might even have to work in the evenings for a little while...ahhh i hate doing that.

    Hi ladys., 45min spin 45min weight lifting today. I must be getting fitter as there was a new lady in spin today, her first time and she about died. She was looking at me like 'how the heck can YOU do this?'lol.

    Stef:- you are superwoman! it is meant to hit a crazy heat wave high of 40F today. Wow. Hope it lasts. Jess:- Hope u get pretty as quickly as possible. i got to find a place i can buy Fuze by the create. Weight lifted 45mins Spin Class 45 mins today. I must be getting fitter as there was a new lady in spin today and she about died in there. She was skinny and looking at me like 'how the heck can YOU do this?' LOL.

    Yeahhhhhhhhhh for Jess! Sorry you not feeling so good again! geez your poor lady, werent you just sick a short time ago? i know Clinical is tough too, my daughter tells me all about it. The Sun is shinning here too...but tomorrow and Fri snow is predicted. Dang it. Im on the road again on Sunday...Lovely Pittsburg this time.

    Thanks so much everyone!!! I think my next goal will be 240 as that means i will have lost 200. If i get there by August 6th 200lbs in 12 months! Can u imagine that! Id be doing commercials for lap band!

    Nikki, I swam for about 2 months before i started this after being banded. But i was super high weight. I would wait untill your port isnt sore. My Doc never restricted me from any execise. Of course...as always 'check with your DOC' And WELCOME!

    I did lose 22lbs in two weeks. I was platau for 4 weeks then dropped off like crazy.

    Steff. Sorry no clue on the podcasts. I cant stand my daughters IPOD and i just hate itunes. I stick with an MP3 player. I know there is a place on the i pod for podcasts. Yeah i think you will do MUCH better running alone for now! Set your own pace. Thats funny about the pool. I was imaging doing laps in my daughter 'Wiggles' pool. I too can not stand yard work. In fact i just signed up for a maintenance plan to have a company do it all this year (how lazy am i?). My wife LOVES a perfect yard but i just dont have the heart to spend hours every week on it. And we are both full time now. BTw..I loved that wet suit article! LOL Good job Ceradad! Today: 45 min run (4miles) 10 min walk 20 min swim.

    Steff...thanks i checked her out. Be careful on the running.! Im begging you to try the couch to 5k program! I think its awesome you will be running but running with two other people? im worried they are going to burn you out super fast. Now i know your super fit so you could start it at week 3 or something. But so many new runners give up early because they start with too much. Ill come and do swim laps with you in the blow up kiddie pool. (ahh geez that sounds like one of your neighbours)

    I MADE IT!!!! Friday i weighed 301...and Sat after i worked my a## off im 298!!! I still cant believe it! have not been under 300 forever. Im still going strong pushing for more.

    Hey Thanks!!! That means so much coming from a pro like you!!! Im getting my reg bicycle back from the shop next week and i cant wait to ride outside. for now i will just keep hitting the spin class. Another weird thing will be looking for a wet suit if i decide to do the triathlon this yeat.

    Way to go Wombat!!! Your a RockStar! I did 3 5k runs this week and today i did a 50min run as i know i have to think about that 10k. made about 4.5 miles in 50mins. Big day for me though 298!!!!! Weighed in today. I havent been under 300 in forever!!!! at this rate its going to be 200 gone in 12 months. I know its thanks to serious exersise. 298!! i still cant believe it. i was 440 in August 07! Keep it people.

    Ok i think im joining this thread now.. Im about 308 or so today. i CANT wait to hit the 2's. I cant even remember being in the 2's. And to think just a little more than 7 months ago i was 440! I want in to the 200's now.
