    PR for training 5k!!! :)

    Hey this was very intersting to me.I have ben trying to get my 5k time down below 30 mins for a while. I always end up hitting 32 mins or so on the treadmill. On my Triathlon i hit 33 mins for my 5k. I can run at 6.0 for about 10-12 mins then i have to go about 5.5. I need to work on that 6mph speed. Good luck!

    June Exercise Challenge

    Cera: You are going LOVE the sprint TRI. I am addicacted. There are a few of them around here. My only problem is there 45-65 dollars to enter. I just cant do as many s i want. My wife thinks im crazy for paying that to exercise. And i so agree with you about the people on machines. I hate it when people rest between sets on equipment. One gym i went to had signs not to do that. The worst was once i was at a Ballys Total Fittness in Cleveland OH when i was on buisness and this one woman sat on the fly machine talking on her Cell phone! I hovered around it for 10mins but nope..she just kept talking. I finaly had to go over and interupt her. 'can I use this machine please?' So i have to limit to one per month. LuLuc: Good job on the crazy workout. I think its good for you body to get a shock to the system once in a while like that. Way to go for hanging in there. Last night: 15mile bike ride. This Morning: Chest and arm workout 30 mins swiming.

    Wow Ceradad did a 10k!!! Way to go!!!!!!! 10k is my high limit right now. Takes me just over an hour to hit it. I ran 45 mins today (about 4.5 miles) Swam for 25 mins. Last night i biked 20miles.

    i swim either front crawl or breast stroke. The Water was so cold that i had trouble doing crawl as i couldnt get my face under. I ended up doing breast stroke with my face kept out the water. Ppl do all kinds of strokes out there. Side stroke is extremly efficent too.

    You should enter.. Dont worry about the swimming to much your only in the water for maybe 8mins. bikeing and running is what your will be doing the most of.

    lol. glad your doing ok Kat. 60f is COLD. Biggest prob i had was getting my face in the Water without swallowng it all.

    I too like Cereadad became a runner. Di my first 5k in april. And last week i just finished my forst Triathlon. There is nothing like it. I still have 100lbs to go but i can run 10k's. I normally do 2 or 3 5k's a week and 1 10k a week. I swim and bike too. CeraDad and i have a lot in common on that front.he has got about 20 pounds down on me though. but im after him! LOL.

    hi team! 20 min run today (2miles) and 45 min spin class. Looking foward to to pedal biking outside tomorrow..im off work and going to the WI Dells for the weekend. DOnt panic i already checked it out and the have nature trails

    OH gosh...GOOD LUCK!!!! Hope all goes well. Back to training the day after?????????? What the heck?? I think you will have to just walk a little the first week then the second week you will feel much better. I would think the 3rd week youd be ready for reg exercise. LEt me know how it goes. I am away for the weekend but i will be thinking of you Friday!!!!!!

    Thanks guys!!! I just signed up for a Duathlon on September. I am going to do some more tri's before that but this is one i wanted in stone. a 2mile run..22 mile ride and 2 mile run again. A little diffferent. Oh heres a picture.

    ok here r my times. My T1and T2 were really high but i changed my wet socks and shoes and it was my first time so i just wanted to get it right and not worry to much about it Swim 8mins 27s T1 4min 53s Bike 56min 54s T2 4min 19s Run 33min 08s Total : 1hr 47min 25secs I was basically just aiming to get under 2 hours. i was 312th out of 445.

    KAt...thats really an intersting lil story. Thats people think about me too. YOU do Triathlons? YES I do. I even posted my time up in the office message board in the lunch room to show other ppl you dont have to be super skinny.

    June Exercise Challenge

    Ok i wanted to let you guys know as youve been with me from the start i finished my first ever Triathlon on Sunday!!! 400yard swim (Outdoors COLD) then a 15mile bike ride and a 5k run. IT was amazing feeling.

    I did it!!!!!!!!!!!! I finisnhed my first ever Tri. It was the sprint. so it was a 400 yard swim, 15mile bike and a 5k run. I ran the whole way..no walking. It was amazing! I was worried my 5year old $500 mountain bike wouldnt keep up with all the $3000 road bikes. But i overtook so many of them. Its not about the bike! UT LB Loser: Keep training!!!!! It is just such an amazing thing to do.

    I starte going to the gym in Aug 07 at 440lbs. I hated it . But honestly...moost ppl are too busy with themselves to worry about you. KEEP going. No matter what. I just finished my first ever Triathlon on Sunday because of going to the gym.
