Bea. Good job on the climb!!! Glad you still pushing it! MY new 5k time : 28:26 today i ran a 10k in just over 60mins. THose are still really hard to do for me. You keep at it Bea!

I LOVE Triathlons! I have a dualthlon coming up. 5k run 30k bike 5k run. Today i put in a 10k in 60 mins. And my new best 5k is 28:26. wooooo hoooooo -
I had Lap band in Green Bay WI. I would highly recommend my doctor. I went to the 2hr consult last year. Basically they will run through a slide show presentation and show you exactly what happens with the band and possibly with gastric bypass too. You wont have to say anything. Then he will weigh and measure you and get a feel for how you want to achieve this. They are going to throw ALOT of rules and info at you...dont let it scare you...relax ask all the questions you want.

Thanks!!! I did my own mini duathlon on Sunday. GOt up at 5am and ran 6 miles and cycled 20miles. Boy it rocked. Keep going everyone.

wow what a story. YOu can run good Im at 272 ish and i just got my 5k down under 30mins. Its just a matter of trainning.

Thanks!!! MY wife is doing ok. She is kinda stalled right now. BUt she is re assessing her habits. Im pushing right now too. My loss stalls sometimes. THe whole of feb i didnt lose a pound and i really pushed then first week in March 11 pounds dissapeared! Weird! 1 pound a week is GOOD. My doc says its like a 5year plan. I broke all his records lol. HE said if i didnt lose another pound right now he wouldnt care...it was all worth it. BUt i AM going to reach my goal of 180 ish. The emotialnal stuff has been harder than i thought lately. I feel like i can do all the things now i couldnt when i was bigger and i want to do EVERYTHING and thats just not possible finaclly. I want to buy Armani suits and skydive LOL. Nice to meet you. Msg me anytime in case i dont keep up on the thread.

GOsh i totally slpet through the 4am alarm this morning so no workout:( Late for work and everything. Have ppl coming over at 7pm tonight so going to be tuff to get something in. Maybe walk for 1 hour at lunch time? I guess thats something. CeraDad: Good lukc with the 5k tomorrow. Did i tell you i broke 30min on my 5k yesterday. First time ever. Boy was it hard. 29:10 I think tomorrow i will do my long run. Theres a 5k im thinking about on July 4th. Might be a nice way to start the holiday. lots of fun activaties there.

LOL! its easier to measure on the treadmill my time. I should do another 5k race and see if i can get below 30min. There is one on July 4th i could do...mmmmmmmmmm.. Its very hard to measure your own inseam i go by pants size. But thanks on the compliment. It was very hard keeping up that pace. I started at 6.0mph...then 5 mins in 6.2mph ....then at 10 mins i got to 6.5mph and kept it there for the duration. I walked fast for 5 mins to get warmed up before i started the timing.

OJ: just checkin in on your. WOW! you are well below 200 now!!! Are you still running? or just bike? Today was a major break through i had a sub 30min 5K...29:10. Im still bikeing about 60 miles a week for triathlon trainning. I just love watching your progress.

Im sure you will if you work hard at it. Get it in your head your going to workout everyday. start with 20 mins or so. Build from there. Swimming is a GREAT place to start.

we wife had it with me too. I was 440lbs on surg day in Aug 07. Now im pushing through 270 into my 260's. It is possible.

ok.......... because of you guys i did it!!!! I got my 5k time to 29:10 this morning. I pushed really hard. My first ever Sub 30 min. I do 2 or 3 5k's a week and then one 10k a week.

i might be taller but my legs are short. I have a 29" in seem! I am all torso. That doesnt really paint a good picture of me does it. i LOVE you WOMBAT

Yes i sure did. But i worked my ass off like crazy:) I try and do at least 1hour of exercise everyday.

Thanks. I think it can be overwealming at first when you have 270lbs to lose at first. But it does come off!

Hi, Im Jon. My BMI was 65 when i was banded. I am down 170 in 9 months. Going strong. Id love to hang with you people. You can see i was 440 in aug 08 and now 270. Msg me if you have questions or need help.

I have lost 170 in 9 months. DOnt think i am going to make 200 in 12months. But i cant say i am not pleased!
