The fastest i can go is 7mph right now..and i can only keep that up for 10mins till i go back down to 6.5. It gets easier. (Kinda)
-
That sounds COLD
-
Ladies....Your speeds are FINE! Seriously!!!! DOnt worry about going faster right now. Its all about building up the muscles in your legs and around your knees. Im begging you not to speed it up. As the weeks go by it WILL get more challanging. Right now you are running for time not speed. Dont burn yourself out or even get an injury! You are doing exactly what you need to be doing. The hardest thing on the program is not rushing ahead. Keep it slow and steady right now. Let you body get used to it. I really dont mean to sound mean i just want you to hang in there. Your all doing great so far. And REST you gotta use the rest days. YOu can swim or bike or weight lift or something on your rest days but dont run everyday. Keep It up!!! YOUR DOING FANTASTIC!

yeah Cera we are. I just cant seem to break through this 270 mark. Its been 269 a few times but im just seem to be stuck for now. I know im eating right and getting enough exercise...i guess it will move soon. I ordered the Nike Plus sportband at the weekend if any of you want a little competetion take a look into it. Works with your ipod nano too but i just am anti Ipod. On a positive note it sure did feel good to buy clothes in Old Navy at the weekend!!

Yeah i hope i can get a road bike soon but for now i have to stick with my moutain bike. It just funds really. If your going to go for a road bike that will last you gotta spend 700-1000. Until i can get that together im staying with my 5yr old 500 buck moutain bike. I also feel kind of weird about being 270lbs and riding a road bike. Guess i need to get over that. If you have a bike use it. DOnt worry about it. I can get about 18mph on my mountain bike but im sure i could get 25mph maybe out of a road bike?? There is also Hybrid bikes out there. If you want a Triathlon bike look at 5000!!! No way i would pay that. Thats more than my motorcycle!

If you dont know what it is go to http://nikeplus.nike.com/nikeplus/ Good Luck!!!

yeah...they call it an outreach but its really not. first its a mens only team..my old church team was mixed. then one of my friends brought someone new to the game and asked if he could play...the coach looked him up and down and he was a little fat and said 'sorry we have enough to play' I hate that stuff...thats why i am just going to keep away from it. I love that you enjoy it so much. Maybe i should just find a reg league. At least you KNOW what to expect there.
-
wow good luck tomorrow. i reg on nike plus but i cant find her challange. i put in LBT but it didnt show up.

You got felt up! Thats awesome!!!!! I selpt through my alarm this morning DANG IT! I got to get a better way to wake me up. I have been watching my cals really close the last 2 days as my weight has been stuck for 4 weeks or so. Well it has helped. GOt between 1200-1500 and the scale looks like its moving again. 269.5 this morning and thats on my high bathroom scale. My YMCA scale normally reads lower. SO nothing for today (Thats SO FRUSTRATING for me) tomorrow i will be at the 7.15am spin class and after i should be able to take a run and swim i hope.
-
Thats Awesome Bea!!!!! I hear you! I played softball for a few years and was really looking foward to getting back on our church team with all the weight i lost. I signed up on the sign up sheet and they were total jerks about it. One day in May i called my buddy and he was playing for the team! They didnt even call me. I am so mad at them. They say its for fun but the guy running it is really an ### and i know he didnt call me because he doesnt think im fit enough. Little does he know! Well screw them. I will just keep knocking out Triathlons. Glad you are playing. I am enjoying hearing from you.

I think i had the same fear as you. I just had myself convienced it wouldnt work and i would never feel full. Believe ME! i feel full!!!! I just to be able to eat a 12" sub from Subway as an example with NOO problem whatsoever. I would still be hungry. Now i can eat only half a 6 " sub!!! It takes a few months to get the right adjustment but it makes a HUGE diff. Now here is where ppl fail 1. They get there band so tight that they cant eat solid food and the revert to soft food like Candy, milkshake, ice cream...This is definately a risk. I personally have a hard time with Candy and Cappinno on my diet. But i CAN NOT eat more than a slice of pizza. Yes one slice! I used to eat a whole large Pizza. 2. YOu just eat soft foods like candy alot. You will NEVER get full on candy. I dont know why. IMy doc say to eat every 3 hrs or so but make sure its solid food. I am NOT perfect. I do make mistakes. I exersise hard though to off set. It is VERY weird though when you get about 6 months in. YOu look at someones big plate in a resturant and you think i could NEVER eat all that. Your always looking straight to small kids meals or small meals. FOr example. I was in Red Robin and for dinner the most i could eat was a CUP of Chilli. That ended up being 2.95 for my dinner LOL. And when your still big you get a WEIRD look from the waiteress sometimes.
-
yeah try and let all the negative stuff you read roll off you. I was banded last August 07 and i am down 170lbs so far. It takes work but is def achieveable.
-
awwww thanks Bea!!! Thats really encouraging!!
