Here is Julys list:July 1 45mins weight lifting/45 mins swimming July 2 5k run/45 spin class July 2 (evening) ElpitiKILL 30 mins/ 30 mins swimming July 3 30mins weight lifting/ 45 mins swimming July 4 5k run and 2 hours playing Yard football July 5 45 min spin Class / 30 mins swim July 6 10k Run (1hr 17mins superslow!) July 7 Weight lifting/45 min spin class July 8 4mile run, 20 min Elpitikill, 45 min swim, 60 pushups July 9 Running Interval training with a USA Traiathlete! 1 hour (5miles) July 10 Running 4 miles July 11 Weight lifting 45mins / Spin Class 45mins

    Mal....Your doing great!!! keep it up..hang in there....last night it stopped storming around 8.30pm and i thought...hey ill run for a bit. Another 4 miles later i came home. The interval trainning with the Triathlete coach really helped me speed things up! Keep going everyone !!! Your all doing fantastic!!!! Soon youll be running like the wind!

    Absoultly not!! I was overweight in high school and always the slow one. I liked the idea of competing and because i weighed do much i compted in things my body didnt hold me back like MotorSports. I want to try kayaking soon..I live right on Lake Michigan! But i have to buy a road bike first :biggrin2:

    Well my friends i meet with a USA Team Triathlon athlete/coach last night and worked out with a group of 6 at our local highschool. We did interval running for an hour. I loved it. Going to make it a reg Weds night thing i hope.

    awwwwww thanks!!!!! I sometimes get worried i am overtrainning but i just read an articule that it is actually VERY difficult to overtrain! So i was glaad to read it. Last night i meet a USA Team Triathlon Coach and worked out with him and 5 others at our local high school running track. We did interval trainning running. And i am learning how to speed up my swimming too.     Something really cool! I found there is a USA Triathlon Team Coach pro athlete in my town!!! He is also an USA swim Team coach. he charges like 500 bucks for 3 months but he does sessions every Wednesday night here for free. And he is just about 2 miles away from my house! How cool is that!

    A big thing i noticed. buy one of those shinny ballons (spongebob or something) on your way over the helium ones) Tie it to your rack where your bike is. Makes it super fast to find your bike! I like to use a bucket with a lid on it so i can sit on it to get my shoes on if i need.

    Thanks...i was just talkingto her and she said she really doesnt like me talking to ladies on here anymore...what the heck is up with that? I just need encouargement and i want to encouarge people. There arent many guys on here but i do have a few of them that are close to my weight and we try and push each other.

    Phew i got some questions to repley to i see. Ok well first i use my mountain bike for Triathlons still...im dying to buy a road bike but i just cant get the funds together. I nearly bought some crappy 300 buck one but i want to wait untill i can get one for between $700-$1000. My wife is really getting insecure i think...i dont know for sure. Its not like women throw themselves at me but it is causing some problems. She doesnt like that i come on here an know ppl either. Yes shes banded. she struggling right now around 220. Its all due to ice cream and starbucks. And she doesnt exersise,.she says she would but she feels like there is no way to keep up with me. She is worried i am going to leave her :wink2:

    yeah i bike too:) I train for Triathlons so i do a good bit of biking and plenty of Spin Class Now i dont normally go further than 30 miles tops. You want to feel jelly legs? Bike 20 miles and then try running! That gets some getting used to. I split my cardio between running, biking and swimming. And then put some weight lifting in there too. Some times i have even been know to Elipitikill.

    Hmm my T1 and T2 were both waaaay high. It was pouring with rain and i wanted to change my shoes and socks which took alot of time. I wa in the 4min range. I sse ppl in 45seconds! MY 5k tie is down around 28 -29 mins now. MY bike time was good but a road bike would help i think. And swim is swim...i can swim fast it just depends on the temp. Now Duathlon is all diif. No clothing change needed at all. Just pop on the helmet. Jon is my name btw.

    Triathlon

    Yes im thinking about doing some Tri's this year. I already did a Duathlon and i think i should be able to compete. The only things that scares me is swimming outdoors in WI in June. Isnt that going to be FREKIN cold? I looked at tri weysuits but so expensive and no way one is going to fit me. Last week i ordered tri top and shorts seperatley which are an alt. to a wetsuit. OK who has done tri's??? Help me out here. The first one for me would be in 4 weeks or so.

    Yeah i go on both. Here is my 5k pic. Something really cool: I found there is a USA National Team Coach living in my home town! He has a little group on Wednesdays at a local track he meets about 5 or 6 ppl at and they train together. So i minght try going to that on Wednesday. He is also a USA Swim Team Coach! How cool is that?

    You are def working up to the 5k! Even after week 9 it took me a couple of weeks to get to 5k. I ran a 10k on Sunday 1hr +. My 10k time is still really slow but im ok with that. Here is a pic from the 5k of me on Friday.

    Good job on the trainning. Glad you got back into the water! I have a Duathlon on Sat to do. Its really going to be a long one. 5k run 30k bike 5k run. I ran a 10k on Sunday with my new Nikeplus sportband that worked great. Here is a pic from my 5k. (I am the one in the dark blue)
