I get to the gym at 5am then stay till about 615am before finishing the two miles to work. Total trip to work is 12 miles. But it sure is much more fum pedeling home!

Kathy: It is really hard to say which one i like most. They all have there own pleasures. Running...I like the no nonsense if it. Its just me and the road..and it feel amazing to know i can run 6 miles. When i tell people i ran from this town to this town there mouth about drops. Cycling...I like the speed here...just moving 25mph on a flat road and overtaking cars in traffic sometimes! Swiming...this is relaxing and i can feel my shoulder and back muscles getting stronger and better defined... Weight lifting....this is my least fav as i feel like its the biggest waste of time...but i know strong muscles burn more calories. If your doing the C 25k program you ARE A RUNNER! so start calling yourself that.
-
Phew!!! I just caught up with all your posts!!!! Georgia : Good job on the weight loss!!!!! Running will increase you weight loss..I been sitting in the same 5 lbs bracket for a while and i am sooooo hoping to break out of it. Once i see 259 on the scale ill be super happy..:crying: Renewed: YES! you are in trouble for not taking a rest day! What were you thinking! LOL! Just so much excitement! Dont worry about transistioning to outside either. Youll be fine. I LOVED you pictures!!!!!! So cute!! and you look like your trying hard!!! just Awesome!!!! Well i had cycled all weekend. Decided not to use the Car! so i cycled to lunch, cycled to the store...cycle to church even..Woot! But i hadnt run since Thursday. So i got my daughter to drive me out 6 miles from the house and i ran home Sunday eve along Lake Michigan. Took me 1hr 10mins but it felt good. I didnt push it and didnt interval train. 10k or 6.2 miles is close to my limit right now. My legs a little sore this morning. Ill do about 3 5k's for the rest of the week then next weekend i might try a 7 or 8 miler. You KEEP IT UP...I LOVE READING YOUR PROGRESS!!!!!!!!! Treadmill, roads, track...it doesnt really matter just keep going. Last night i stuffed a small towel in my pocket and wiped myself with it every mile...helped alot keep sweat out of my eyes.
-
Wow Chris thanks for the pictures!!!! Way to go!!! Glad you got a good bike run in! Under 12mins is great! good for you. Keep up that interval training!
-

gosh lady!!! your so taltented! I think its great your body has to guess whats coming next.
-
This is a fairly doable goal. But it might be rough too. You may feel like you have to repeat some weeks. I think you would be able to do it but you are going to have to be super slow and pace yourself. Its hard to do that on an organized run because you get soo excited at the start with all the excitement you can tend to run to fast to start with. But im behind you all the way!!! Yu can sign up on the day normally so dont feel like you have to pre register.
-
Actually the C25k program builds up your knees slowly. that why its such a good program. YOu migh think you slowly getting yourself fit but you are building up the muscles around your knees and ankles slowly so you dont get injurys. Thats why the rest day is SOOO important. You have to rest. You going to be tempted to do no rest days sometimes but this is when you can hurt yourself. I would swim or weight lift on days off.
-
well you will be kicking my butt with 3miles a day as i swim and bike on my off days. So you stand a good chance!!! Hmmm last night while iwas running was the first time i stated noticing all my lose skin slowing me down and getting a little painful. Is this what you experianced?
-
Wow you ladies are rocking. Welcome all the new ones too. For those that dont know me i did the C25K program over Oct,nov 07 so i am here to encouarge you. I can run a 10k now without too much problem. I love Triathlons! There my fav. I would do them every week if i could. I run about 3 5k's a week and try and fit in 1 10k a week. I started when i was around 360lbs or so. Ang: 20mins is super scary. I remember almost panicing when i was on the treadmill ready to start it. But you will shcock your self. Go super slow. You will Love the feeling after. MC Green: It took me till about 6 or 7 weeks to actually enjoy it. When i run 5k's now def the first mile is the worst. Then you kind of get into it. Bonnie: CONGRATS on week 2 being done!!!!!! Way to go! Your doing awesome for yourself.

you know...i get the bowel problem to when i run along way. I wish i knew how to stop. Not gross! Bricks are hard! My worst ever was last weeks Duathlon. 5k run that started uphill 1/2mile straight up..after the hard 20mile bike the same uphill 5k to do. I about died. but as you can tell i didnt. Kudos for taking your husband with you!! Smart Lass!
-
Sorry Salsa...Maybe i shouldnt of challanged you next week on NikePlus i know how you feel about competetion! Last week with all the Duathlon stuff i think i logged 25miles! Holy cow! I like that my sportband can tell me my total for the week with one button. I am seriously thinking about just using it for my watch now as it has a clock on it too.
