This line literly makes me cry like a baby. I am not some skinny little guy that runing is a breeze for. I am not someone that got banded that had 40lbs to lose..not there is ANYTHING wrong with that i just wnat you to know i had ALOT of weight on me and i became a runner anyway. Georgia: About your knee problems...yes i get a little knee pain sometimes..its normal...its not really bad...normally i get when i do two days running in a row for long distances...i would say if you start you run and you feel pain in it that doesnt go away after its losened up that day is not a good day to run. YOu may have to rest it for 3-4 days if its hurting but youll be fine. Dont panic. The more you run the stronger it will get.

WOw! THanks for the response everyone!!! I want to encourage new Banders with this thread also. Yeah i am on my Surgeons panel next week to take questions from people. I have been in a regional Magazine and he has been talking baout putting me on his TV commercial Success? Exercise has been the biggest part of it for me. Also daily things are huge. Knowing that its all about long term goals intstead of just short term goals. I am NOT perfect. I cant say a twix has not passed my lips in the last 12 months but i make much better choices than i used to. As i get closer to my goal my loss is slowing down but i am ok with that. I think if i can get to 200lbs in the next 12 months would be ideal for me. MY head is the worst part. I can not get it to catch up to my body...i still think of myself as huge sometimes. But i dont have to worry about not fitting into a resturant both or an airplane seat or a roller coaster anymore. -
hey good job on the Muddy. I am plannig to be there next year. Funny that i was in Chicago all week last week but had to come home on Friday.

yeah you guys are doing great!!!!!!!!!!! I got two weeks before my next tri I went OWS on lake maichigan on Sunday to practice. Wow it was so benifical to be able to practice in the waves with out feeling you being timed. Tomorrow is my bandaversary! 180lbs gone!

ok im here. Trying to keep up with your ladys posts!!!! I been away on buissness but keeping the running up. Im off again on Thurs too. PLEASE if you have questions feel free to message me. Its hard to keep up with you all Renewed: Week 6!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH BABY!!!! your nearly there. Now watch out because when you finish your not going to quite know what to do. But you just want to keep repeating the last week for a while. Then slowly we can work you up to where you can run for 1 hour straight! As for me: Tomorrow is a BIG DAY! Its my 1 year Bandaversary and ive lost 180LBS in those 12 months!

just checkin in. out of town in Chicago on buisness. You ladies are doing fantastic Sorry about your AC! As a former Ac technician i feel your pain. Glad it was an easy fix though. Yeah i wouldnt advise walking around nekid. Hey i just thought...for those of you that have your own treadmills at home maybe you could run nakked if you get to hot. how funny would that be.

congrat on the breaking 1hr! Thats huge. last 2 10ks have been 1 hr 17 and then 1 hr 10min so i am working on it. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah salsa my nike plus broke. Im sending it in for repair. If it breaks again i am going with a Garmin Forerunner 305 as i can use it for my bikeing to. Yep im a geek.

i agree. Men dont want to feel like they need to be told how to do it but the fact is sometimes they do need to be told. So you got to be o so careful. Of course we want to feel like a super stud but you can tell us how to become a better one. Thats why places like this are good. You can get a feel for what women want.

I am right there with you! I lost TONS of weight in the first 10 months but since may/june i been stuck! So frustrating. Keep at it. Just keep exercsing and try and forget about the weight! ok now i want to see boot pictures.

Cera: Your first TRI!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to hear how you did, You are going to be soooo adictated after the first one! I would do one every weekend if i could! There so much fun. My next is on Aug 23rd. I am going to see if i can practice some open Water swim in lake michigan next weekend. I took Sat off! My first day off in July. And boy did i feel like crap come sunday. Yesterday 20mile moutain bike trail.

Here is something else cool! MY 8 yr old daughter wants to do one of my Triathlons! There is a kids sections. She is already fine swiming 4 laps and the bikeing is fine (she biked 7 miles with me last week!) So last night i helped her with running. We ran just around our block and she loved it. Didnt complain. She has to run 1k for the kids triathlon. Is that awesome or what! I actually inspired her. She has seen me run in a 5k race and was just SOO PROUD.

hey checking in with the C25K hotties here! Your all doing great. Keep it going. Awesome pictures and i love the Wii fit stuff! I been busy at it to. All kinds of crazy exercise this week. Here my big news. I broke my 5k record time. Its now 28:02. I will be looking to go below 28 mins next time but i was FLAT out to get that. 7.0mph on the treadmill and once i hit 7.4mph. WARNING: dont try 7mph yet! took me a long time to get there. Keep at it!!!
