I haven't checked in for 7 days, however I've been logging my exercise into MyFitnessPal. Last weekend I logged 10 miles of running/walking. This week I didn't make it to the track, but I got onto my elliptical every morning (except for Friday) for an hour--logging in 20 miles. This weekend I hit the road on a borrowed bike (How do you long distant bikers do it?!?! My lady parts and rear took a beating!!! Sorry for the TMI!) and I hit 13 miles. There was a lot of up hill riding...it was torture on my quads and hams, but I loved it and will be doing it again. I'm going shopping for a bike and I will definitely make sure to get one with a wider and better cushioned seat (so my under area won't feel so abused! LOL!). So, my total for this month is 63. I plan on getting another 5 in either at the track or on my elliptical, bringing it up to 68. Everyone is doing great! It is so awesome to see so many people on this thread. No matter your fitness level, keep it up and keep pushing yourselves! I look forward to reading your successes

What's the Longest Stall You've Experienced?
NewSetOfCurves replied to erica5754's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You and I were sleeved on the exact same day. You have lost 85 pounds in 3 months!!! That is FREAK'N AMAZING!!! I have lost 47 pounds in the same period. I am currently in a stall and actually gained 2 pounds in this week's weigh in. I am not worried. It's a stall. If you've read enough of these posts, you know that stalls happen. Don't fret. There are many reasons for stalls--water weight, backed up plumbing, monthly cycle, etc. You're doing great. Keep doing what you're suppose to be doing and the weight WILL continue to come off as soon as your body is ready. -

Does anyone miss being overweight?
NewSetOfCurves replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely not!!! I don't miss the huffing and puffing; the extra body odor, sweat, and having to shower multiple times a day because if it; the inability to participate in activities because of tiring so easily or being embarrassed of my rolls and flap bouncing and making noise.... The list can go on and on. I don't miss it. Not even the food. Sent from my iPhone using VST -

Help! I can't stop loosing!
NewSetOfCurves replied to rachel marie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you literally need to eat something every 2 (no longer than 3) hours. Whether you are hungry or not. That's what I do. My doc said that a lot of people lose their hair because of the extreme calorie deficit, and I did NOT want to lose my hair. So, I have pretty consistently (for about 6 weeks now) hit 1200-1300 calories per day. I eat about every two hours--hungry or not. After my morning run I drink a high 200 calorie RTD Protein drink (@5a.m.); at 7 a.m. I have a 70 calorie boiled egg; 9 a.m. (my off period) I have my oatmeal that I add Protein powder to--about 130 calories; my lunch is at 11:39 a.m. and I usually do tuna and crackers-250 calories; between 2&3 p.m. I eat an ounce of cashews (160 cals) and a string cheese (80 cals); dinner is between 5&6 p.m. and it is usually a beef Soup, salad n chicken, or fish n veggies ranging from 200-300 calories. I drink a casein Protein Drink before bed. It's hard work, it takes a lot of preparation, it's not always comfortable, but I have gotten used to it and I have yet to lose my hair. I am very happy with the rate of my weight loss. Not too fast, not too slow. I know you are further out than me, and being a low BMI'r like yourself, I hope I am not in your same predicament, but I truly hope this helps you up your calories. Good luck to you. I swear we are related! Chips n salsa, and even worse...chips n queso are my BIGGEST downfall!!! They go down SO EASY! It sucks, but they are my trigger foods! The other day I chopped up tomato, onion, cilantro, Serrano peppers, avocado and sprinkled it with sea salt and lime...then I mixed it with some Julio's mild salsa dip...and ate it with those Tostitos lime chips...it was HEAVEN! I don't really feel guilty about the dip, but it made those chips slide down real good :/ Sent from my iPhone using VST
