    Gaunt and an Amazon, really!

I really think it's jealousy. I have a childhood best friend--my kids call her Auntie, she spends holidays with us, we vacation together and she's practically my sister. Anyway, she's gained weight over the years but has always been smaller than me and she cannot STAND that I'm smaller than her. She almost didn't come down for Christmas because of it. I told her that she was beautiful and that we loved her for her, and she needed to stop be silly and come down for the holiday. She said, "I'm not use to looking like this. I'm embarrassed. You've been fat most of your life and you were used to it, but I'm not." Ya...no words. Just a gaping mouth. Needless to say, she didn't get a gift for the holiday. And I didn't remove the cold shoulder until some major a$$ kissing and groveling occurred.

That sounds about right. I had one last month and they took a lot of vials. I haven't been on here in a while. I hope you're doing well.

Ha!!!! My computers out, and I've been using my phone...but I figured it out!!! Than Butter!!!
  5. I'm one week shy if completing my 7th month post-op. My goal is 150/145. I'm 15/20 pounds from goal.

    Post Op-ers You're killing me!

I remember scouring this sight for pics too! Here are mine. I still need another 15-20 to get to goal. I'm shooting for 150 or 145. I'm 5'6".
  7. I am definitely a "slow" loser, but I am VERY HAPPY with my weight loss! 33 pounds down since June 18th, and about 52 pounds from highest weight. I eat clean, healthy food 95% of the time (cheat day is on Sunday); one hour of cardio 5-6 days a week; weight lift 2 days a week (I want to do more, but difficult with schedule), divided by upper body and lower body, heavy weight/low reps, both isolation and compound lifts. I LOVE my sleeve, LOVE the restrictions, and I especially LOVE that when I do occasionally slip the bad stuff, I'm full after 3-4 bites! (Picture is of my highest weight and of me today, 8 weeks 5 days post-op)

Teachers with Tummy Tuck ? recovery time

I haven't had a tummy tuck, however I have had a couple friends who have. Based on their experiences and road to recovery, I highly recommend you wait until summer.

    9 weeks post-op PIC!

I'm doing very well, thank you! I am 6 1/2 months out, weighing in at 165 pounds. That's 82 pounds down from my highest weight, and about 65 pounds from surgery weight. Actually I went shopping today (or yesterday since it's 3 AM, lol!) and I bought a size 8 dress!!! So, I think I'm doing fabulous! I'm excited for you! Good luck with your upcoming surgery. Follow your surgeons instructions as best as you can post op. Remember that your tummy will be swollen and healing, but any hardship you endure post-op quickly passes! It'll be over before you know it and you'll be a thinner, healthier you in no time! The hardest part for me was getting the fluids down, but those sf Popsicles saved my life! Again, good luck!!!

Biggest regrets about getting the sleeve?

Thank you! I have NO regrets!!! I love my sleeve life, love that I have lost 82 pounds, I love that I can be active with my kids, and I love that I finally hit the single digits as of yesterday when I went shopping and fit into a size 8!

    I Lost ******* in 2013

At the beginning of 2013 I weighed 247 pounds. I had surgery on June 18th (6 1/2 months ago) and I closed 2013 weighing in at 165 pounds! That's 82 pounds lost!!! My weight loss has slowed tremendously, but I still lose about 1 pound a week, averaging 3-7 pounds a month and I'm 15 pounds away from my original goal I love that I have the energy to play with my kids: baseball, volleyball, jump on the trampoline, ride bikes. I love that I can cross my legs, squat down and get up without a problem, and just a greater range of flexibility without my big tummy or legs to hinder my movements. I especially love moments, like today when I went shopping, when I try on clothes and the sizes keep getting smaller. I finally hit single digits--a size 8!!!! Ya me!!!!! #lovingmysleeve

I Want To See Before & After Pics!

This was taken a little after four months post-op. I'm 5 days shy of completing my 5th month. My weight loss has slowed tremendously, but I love my sleeve and I wouldn't change a thing!
  17. SW: 248 CW: 172 Goal Weight: 145 Using your formula, I got 73.7%... is that right?
  18. Our weight loss is almost exactly the same. I am almost 4 1/2 months out and I am at 176 pounds (52 pounds of weighloss from surgery, 72 pounds from hieghest weight). My weight has been pretty much at a stall for the past month or so; however, I am very aware that stalls are normal and that they happen, especially as you near your normal BMI. I just saw my doctor this week. He said he was very happy with my weightloss. He also said that persons who begin this process with a lower BMI tend to lose weight a lot slower than those with higher BMI's. I am VERY happy with my weight loss. I would never have lost this much on my own in this short amount of time. If the rest of the 30+ pounds of weight takes a year to come off, I am fine with that because I feel good and I know I look great (with clothes on, ha!)...even if I'm not at goal. Your body is readjusting (PdxMan makes a valid point). You'll get there. Keep doing what you're suppose to be doing and it'll happen. Stay positive!

    October 100 Mile Challange!

Hey everyone! It's awesome to see that so many are doing so well in keeping up with their personal challenges or surpassing them. So many of you inspire me. Well, I'm happy to report that I've added another 36 miles in these past 7 days (however, I didn't workout for two of the days because we took the kids out to a pumpkin patch and then to SeaWorld...so I lost 2 days and could've done more). My total for Ocober thus far is 119. There are 9 more days left in October and 31 miles between here and my goal of 150 miles. Can't wait to hit it!

    OMG! I cant believe it!

SINGLE DIGITS!!!! How EXCITING!!!! I can't wait to be there myself. I'll be four months out in three days and I went from an 18/20 to a 12 in about 13 weeks. I have had a slow month this month, but I LOVE my sleeve too and I can't wait to be in a 6/8. Congrats to you!

    June 2013 Sleevers GROUP

Hi Olivia! You are doing absolutely fantastic! Do NOT worry about the pounds gained because there are MANY factors that can contribute to that (water retention due to menstral cycle, Water rention in the muscles due to exercise, the body storing "energy" when you up your calories because you are usually in starvation mode, etc.). It sounds like you are doing everything that you are suppose to be doing. Do not let this stall make you doubt yourself or your journey. Good luck on your continued success!

    October 100 Mile Challange!

You are building muscle. So, while you are burning off the fat, you are also adding muscle. Muscle is a lot more dense than fat. A smaller sized portion of muscle weighs just as much as a larger portion of fat, making it possible for your smaller clad body (filled with more muscle) to weigh as much as someone who is of your same height and frame, but is larger due to having a higher fat content (and less muscle). I hope that makes sense. Also, when you work out your muscles retain water. Your stall can also be attributed to water retention or a combination of both. I suggest you track your inches, because you are more likely to see your waist line lose faster than your scale when you are working out.
