I'm retired from running the Career Center at our local high school. I was in charge of scholarships, college & university visits, our college & career fair, military visits and other things. Also a retired LVN.
I had my surgery 3/15/13 and had an easy, quick recovery. I'm 67 yrs. old. I'm losing slower than a lot of people who had the sleeve at about the same time but I'm losing each week. My starting wt was 253, wt at surgery was 233.5 and current wt is 186. Don't let you age stop you from having the VS. it's life changing and totally worth it.

I've gone from a 2X in pants to a large & from a 2X in tops to a large. I'm 67 & lose slowly which is a bit disappointing. It's nice to read that other people are having the same problems. I do need to exercise more.
Hi. I'm new to this board and saw this topic. I'm a little over 5 wks out and am having a lot of trouble getting all my protein (100 gm) in. I drink 1 EAS choc shake made with non fat milk for extra protein a day & try to eat protein. I can eat such small amounts & get full so quickly. I also have trouble getting all my water in. As a result I feel weak a lot of the time. I waited so long for my surgery & I don't want to feel like this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
