  1. I feel you. I had quite the time with nausea for the first 8 weeks. My nausea and reflux was from a combination of things happening. My stomach was spasming when I put food in it. I was getting lots of liver bile as well. So, Dr. Kemmeter gave me scrips for anti-spasm, nausea, and digestion. Do you feel a clutching in your stomach after meals? Might be spasm. Don't hesitate to call your docs. Might not be. Prayers are with you. Peace, and good luck.

    Cold feet!

Don't shake it off, Kailie. Trust yourself. I see that you are an advanced member. That tells me you have been weighing the decision and preparing yourself for a while. It took me almost four years to first make the decision and get approved for surgery. When my surgery finally was scheduled, I had given up on it frankly. I second-guessed myself, too. I started at 408 #. It is life-changing... almost daily, I discover something different in my shape, even though the scale is giving it up grudgingly for the past two weeks. I came here and learned something from Diane C. who had DS surgery: "Also a very helpful article on stalls: http://www.dsfacts.c...or-plateau.html" Good luck. And, whoop whoop, you're almost there.

Finally off the plateau... I hope :/

I am so glad to find another woman on VST who had their sleeve at more than 300 #. I started at 408 and lost 15 before surgery. June 19th will be three months post-op. I've lost a total of 73 #. It has taken two weeks to lose the last three pounds which is a bit of a let down losing 70 # so quickly. Thanks for the post.

    operation cancelled again

Hello, I feel your pain. It took 3 years to get to my surgery. My first Bari program lost their doctor just as I completed all their hoop jumping. I had some health challenges that delayed my search for the right program and doctor. The second Bari program rocked, but my insurance refused to pay for the VSG. So, I waited for them to change their mind. I had my surgery on March 18th. Next, Monday is my 6 week follow up. Yay! Hang in there.
