Hello NC I have not posted in a while I was sleeved on the July 12, 2013 at Rex Hospital my doctor was Dr Paul Enoch, my biggest complication my blood sugar dropped in the hospital that made me stay an extra day. Once home I was great I was in a pinch but not pain, I actually started walking 1 wk after surgery. My biggest problem I have had since was constipation, nothing water, stool softeners, phillips want handle. I feel wonderful I have more energy than I have ever had. This was the best decision I could have made in my life, off diabetic, blood pressure med, I love it. When I went for my consultation in Feb 2013 my weight was 274, my weight to date is 215. I live in Charlotte so I go to the YWCA daily still follow the 6, 9, 12, 3, 6, 9 snack and meal plan still eat like I'm suppose to this is a life style now. I did have a stall but I refuse to give up compared to how hard I have tried to lose weight and to no avail being sleeve has been good. My son's have a problem with the attention I now get. Lol. To all of you who are going you will do great follow your protocol(your rules) that your Dr give you. To those of you who have already been sleeve congratulation don't be discourage if you hit a stall, you may have to adjust either drink more water or protein chg your exercise but whatever you do, dont give up keep the FAITH everyday may not be good but keep going the end results are worth it for all of us life changing

Day 2 in hospital, the pain is minimal, it's just the gas I been walking up and down the hallway, had issue once the cath came out it was 10 hrs later that I was able to urinate. I have had sugar-free Popsicle, chicken broth, water, crystal ligt. Had my leak test this am everything was good. So home I go on Sunday.

Hello Everyone: I was sleeved this am at 7:30am, in recovery the pain was terrible they moved me to the floor and I have used my pain pup maybe 7 times, I've walked twice, mouth is dry but I have peppermint mouth swabs the hospital has given me. The pain is hardly any Thank God. I had to have a hernia repair as well. I;m down to 248lb with what they weighted me this am. I have a barium swallow in the morning at 8:00am and then I can have some Water yeahhhh. I am so grateful to Dr. Paul Enochs and the Rex Hospital Bariatric team. I will say good night thank everyone for your well wishes, thoughts and prayers.

I was schedule for July 15 and my doctors office called and moved me up to Friday July 12 yeah. I had my IV Filter placed in on this past Monday July 8,2013 still a little discomfort but I got out and walked a 2 blocks. I" so ready for Friday. Everybody stay encoruaged.

FYI you can get liquid B complex, B12 at Whole food if you have one in your area. I'm being sleeved on the 15, I have a surgery stomach pillow that helps with coughing and getting up and down that I used from a previous abdominal surgery. My surgeon said I would have 2 night stay and go home on the 3rd day

July 15 is my sleeve date, but on July 12th I'm having surgery to have and IV filter placed in. Today I did 13laps around the track, and actually just eating all protein up until time for me to start shakes 2wks before surgery.

I'm a July Sleever 7/15/13 is my day in Raleigh NC. I live in Charlotte NC so I will be in Raleigh for at least 2wks my dr don't want me traveling until after 2wks visit.

Hi I leave in Charlotte and I will be having surgery on 7/15, my surgeon is Dr. Paul Enoch in cary,NC I started this process in 2008 and my insurance would not cover and now it does. My advice to you is start with a seminar either in person or online but find a great b surgeon the reason I'm going back to Cary/Raleigh for my surgeon this is who I started out with and I'm very comfortable with Dr. Paul Enochs. This has to be something you want to do for you and your health and a better way of life, longevity, and the benefits I can hardly wait, I've actually be living as if I have already been sleeved. A friend of mine who lives in Charlotte nc went to Bariatric Surgery Charlotte 704-377-3900 and said they were excellent. Good luck to you
