Hi, I had my band on the 24th of May, lost about 25lbs very quickly. Then things slowed down for me. I kept struggling and my first fill was reschudeled because the dr. was moving. I finally got my fill and felt really tight for about two or three days. I noticed that there was a white looking whelp that came up where my port is. Now I am not as tight and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Could it be that my port leaked? I have lost a few more pounds, but it is coming off really slow.

Congrads, probably everyone gets nervous, but I hope it will be worth it. I just had mine on the 24th of May. I am still on the liquid diet. I was really more worried about the diet than the surgery, but so far so good. You really don't want to eat anyway at first. And it has take this long for food to even smell good to me. I am looking forward to the soft diet. Just take one day at a time and I'm sure you will be fine.

phyllser, Hi my name is Carolyn. I too am a grandma and had the same health problems you mention. I just got my banding May 24. I am still on the liquid diet and have 3 more days to go. I am surprised that it has been as easy (the liquid diet) as it has. I am not hungry and untill the last few days food did not even smell good to me. I am still get a little tried fairly easily but even that is getting better. I start back to work tommorrow and am looking forward to it. I hope you do well with your appointments, and that things go smoothly for you.
