I was hungry the first couple days, too, but it passes. I'm at 10 days and have to force myself to eat and get liquids down now.

It gets better, every day. Just be patient and take it easy on yourself.

Whatever it is, it's awesome !

I'm using Nature's Plus Source of Life liquid vitamins during my full liquids stage. Tastes a bit odd but not awful. Bought it on Amazon. Normally I use Trader Joes chewable multivitamin and plan to return to them when I can.

Wow, I really overdid it today. Went back to work, then had to leave after 3 hours. So faint I couldn't stand, sweaty, weak. I had 2 glasses of water, Greek yogurt, and a few sips of protein drink early in the morning, but it was bad. Went home and slept for a couple of hours and had a nice lunch (bean purée, a bite of cream soup) and I'm feeling better now. Keeping the water up so I don't get dehydrated. Anyone else overdo it?

Try warm or hot tea, that helped me...

I can't believe I'm experiencing this, but I think I'm hungry. Just sleeved yesterday. Is it acid? Pain? Granted, the last time I had solid food was 3 days ago, but I kinda thought I wouldn't be hungry for months. Your comments please.

Hmmm, not sure I agree with that article completely. My dr showed stats of 60% average excess weight lost through wls. Perhaps this article uses stats from the band, which everyone is now learning is not the great tool thought at the beginning.

Help Going to Italian Restaurant During Puree Stage

Call the restaurant ahead and tell them you can only have puréed food and what do they suggest. I think they'll try to work with you. -
Weight regain & non-supportive family members
NMJG replied to Texas Belle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honey, moving back home is a bad step. I bet if you change your environment for the better, the weight will come off again. First, stop expecting help from your parents. It sounds like they've pretty much shown you none is coming from that direction. Move on emotionally and that will help you while you are living at home. Second, spend as little time at home as possible. Just sleep and bathe there. Never eat there, take your food with you to school. Get a cooler for your car. You can do this. You've come this far, and you can finish the journey and stay healthy. Good luck and prayers for you. -
Great post.

I couldn't get my wedding ring off for surgery. I'm looking forward to being able to clean it.

Patty, great job! You should be so proud of yourself. Good luck to you.

Oh, that's awful Will your dr let you take Imodium? Some allow it. My diarrhea lasted several days but is better now (day 7).

How much solids are you esting?
NMJG replied to Kennedy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm glad you posted. I also agree that amount is too much. Probably a good idea to measure since your new tummy is rarin' to go -
Low fat cheeses may be ok, but again, I'd ask your NUT.

Helpful tips for post op surgery?

Don't get discouraged. The first couple of days are worst. It gets better. -
Seafood! Now that sounds interesting. I suppose we could cook some veggies until mushy then blend them into the broth. Add egg to the Hot and Sour might be yummy. Adding yogurt could be good...

My dr said no gum because a lot of sleevers swallow it, and your new tummy gets blocked and you have to have surgery to remove it. Not trying to be a downer, but don't want to see you hospitalized, either.

We got ours at Walmart.
