It's your decision. You are the one who has to live with it, not anyone else. Don't feel bad about it. Just commit yoursef to doing the best you can with it and I'm sure you will lose weight just fine. Good luck.

I can completely envision my cat biting a drain. I hope it didn't hurt much to remove it, and I'm glad you still have your sense of humor so you could share that lovely visual with us. When I get a tt I will guard against this LOL.

I went on their website (I'm always hoping to find a good protein) but Big Train is not Protein isolate. My dr requires us to use isolates because you don't absorb all the protein from the other types. From their website: Casein is the protein of choice in Fit Frappé. The source of the protein is Calcium Caseinate. http://www.bigtrain.com/Protein-Drink-Mixes.aspx Probably why it tastes good LOL

Cushy, judging from your profile picture, I think you are pretty gorgeous now! This surgery is going to help us with a lot more than looks, though. Think how wonderful to have more energy for your child, be able to sit anywhere without worrying if you fit, buy the clothes you want, escape other people's judgement because of our size. Best wishes to you on your journey.

It does happen and I think it just takes time. I just bought some smaller sized things from another member on here, thinking it would be a long time before they fit, but they fit perfectly now. Give it time and your head will catch up with your body. I remember when I thought I should be in a smaller size than what was currently fitting. So glad it's moving the other way now.

How Did You Find Out About BariatricPal.com?

When you are on liquids, it doesn't matter. When you start food, though, don't do it. One, it can cause you to eat too much, as you know. For me, the liquid comes back up (yecch) so I don't dare do it. I wait a good hour before drinking. If you aren't getting your protein in, you have to choke down protein drinks. I know it's nasty and you are sick of them, but you gotta do it. There are all sorts of posts here on how to improve the taste, different brands to try, etc. Good luck!

They had me a surprised intervention.
NMJG replied to diana89131's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get sick after eating sometimes too. My dr is sending me for xrays and endoscopy to check for stricture or blockage. I do find that eating too fast, too much, or bite too big will all cause vomiting. So does drinking too soon after meals. Love the intervention story, that's priceless. -
I went to the grocery store today and I was stumped. At 4 weeks out, what do you eat?
NMJG replied to endless80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Salad not so good. Didn't sit well for me. Try it if you think you can handle it, but my dr said no salad until 6 months. I guess it's hard on your stomach. -

NMJG replied to endless80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ah, to be able to eat 4 oz at one time....... I can get down about 2 oz at 8 weeks. -
I ate crackers at 2 weeks. They are still my best option for bread products. Once a week I have a half slice of buttered toast. Can't get down a whole slice. Chinese: egg drop soup during puree stage. Soft foods: hot and sour soup, tofu. Full food stage: steamed chicken and vegetables (I only get down a few bites of chicken and one bite of veg). My local Chinese place has a "diet" menu available where everything is steamed and the sauce is served on the side. Very tasty and healthy.

Severe migraines, what to do?
NMJG replied to Bronco0605's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take Imitrex with the sleeve. I can't function with migraines. No problems so far. -
Why am I not losing weight?
NMJG replied to extracat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Get your water in. Ketosis requires lots of fluids and your liver needs the water for all that protein, too. -
I had pickle juice at 3 weeks. It stopped the craving. Tasted great.

I've heard of this before. Why does it work? What happens to the carbonation? -
