    Smoking question

I smoked until 4 weeks prior to surgery. Amazingly after surgery my taste buds changed and never thought about one again or want one. I'm 3 months post op now. It's very important not to smoke post surgery because of developing stomach ulcers for at least 3 months. Good luck

    Weight loss stall

I was sleeved on 4-23-2013 I've lost a total of 26lbs and have been on a stall for 3 weeks! Only losing inches rather than lbs. no need to worry. Stick to the program and pump the protein!
  3. I am currently 22 lbs down at 5 weeks post op. Does anybody know if I am on target? Worried that it should be more. 12 lbs of it was preop week and the rest is post op. Opinions please!!

    Eating too Fast

I am 4 weeks post op and I am on soft foods. I am also experiencing this vomiting up after eating. It feels as if I'm stuck w/ food in center of Sternum so result Is dry heave which leads to vomiting. Help me with info on this as well!! Is this normal? Can it stretch our sleeve from throwing up?
  5. I have started my 3rd week post op on Tuesday. When I went to my surgeons office at 1 week post op I was 196lbs and today 1 week later still 196! Anybody know why??? I am walking a mile of the morning and of the evening. However, I am not able to get 80 grams of liquid protein in a day for some reason....just lost the interest in it. I am on liquids still. Broth, jello, protein shakes, Isopure, sugar free pudding, and also started low fat cottage cheese only.

    Dallas Texas Sleevers

I was just sleeved on April 23rd by Dr. Stowers and all went well! I'm 10 days post op and have no regrets. I worked at the wise regional hospital where it is done and I personally knew all my nurses and charge nurses. This too made my experience even better. You'll be fine and just know you have selected the BEST SURGEON!!!! Good luck
  7. Thanks for the info! I'm going to keep my chin up and try to beat this part of it. :/
  8. Anybody know why I am feeling saddened and crying? Very weird and never had this before. Was feeling it yesterday but today I just broke down in tears and I don't know why..
  9. I'm 5 days post op! I will be honest the worst day was surgery day. After 3 hrs post op you get up and walk. Walk, walk, walk!!!! That helps with the gas in abdomen! However, day 2 and 3 are better but still very tired and sore. Day 4 yesterday I walked a mile!! No lie! Just keep positive and stay focused on the goal and you will pull through. Ill keep you in my prayers! I too am a mother of 2 and I am 39 years old! Good luck! Can't figure out how to put up my profile pic from my iPhone?
  10. I'm also 5 days post op. I am only able to drink minimal amounts of any kind of liquids. I feel as if I just don't have the desire for any of it to be honest. I open a new bottle of Isopure each day and probably only get 1/2 in a days time. I feel every little drop of everything going down and it's very weird. Does this ever go away???

    Sleeved 4-23-13

Thanks so much! I had the Hiatal hernia repair as well. I'm excited to see how much weight will be lost and to shop as well. I'm just a little nervous still because this is all so new. Just learning how to drink fluids is a challenge!
  12. 3 days out and today is a good day. I am able to consume fluids easily and most all pain has subsided. Only a little sore on left lower incision.
