Dr. Bernie Hanna - Las Vegas?

Thank you so much! I am just now seeing this
  4. Has anyone on here had their sleeve done by Dr. Hanna? I'm from Maryland and I have BC insurance but I don't think I will meet their requirements so I will end up being self pay. I submitted my info on his website this morning and he just called and spoke to me for about 45 minutes about everything. I was just seeing if anyone has used him and what was your experience like? Thanks in advance for any input!
  5. Thanks everyone so much!! I feel a little better now!!

Happy to see this thread. I'm at 215 and haven't been sleeved yet. Worried that I won't lose as fast but all of your stats make me more at ease

This is a big issue for me too. I'm terrified of it and my hair is also already thin and short.

    Am i wasting my time?

Hi everyone. I have BC/BS of Maryland. I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time or setting myself up for disappointment. I was wondering if anyone here has a similar story to mine and if so, how did it turn out? Ok so the criteria for my ins is pretty basic. 1. 40+ Bmi ; 2. 35-40 bmi with one comorbid (their comorbids are sleep apnea, diabetes, hypertension or "any other serious illness or medical condition related to weight") ; 3. Psych Eval. ; 4. 6 moths supervised weight loss. That's it. My only issue is my BMI according to BC/BS is 38.9. None of the comorbids. I'm getting tested for sleep apnea soon. Hopefully it will come back that I have sleep apnea. If not someone suggested I gain the extra 8-10 lbs needed to hit a 40 BMI. I start the weight watchers meetings next week. I guess I will contact a bariatric surgeon after I get my sleep apnea results? Or should I contact them Now?
  12. I have BCBS of MD and it has to be a 6 month supervised diet. Ex: Weight Warchers, Jenny Craig, etc. it's a pain knowing I have to wait a whole 6 months before I even submit my stuff to insurance but I'm sure it will fly by. I'm not going to follow the WW program I'm only going to get weighed in for documentation, my BMI is lower and I can't lose too much or INsurance won't cover. Mine doesn't require you to lose a percentage before surgery tho. Weird how they have different requirements for different states.
  13. Wow you look absolutely amazing!! One of best transformations I've seen so far. You should be so proud!

how does it affect your relationship/marriage afterwards?

I wondered this same thing. My husband was all about it a few months ago when I'd bring it up and now that I'm going to dr's appts and getting my stuff together for insurance he's really stand offish when I bring it up and changes the subject...

    Psych Evaluation

Curious as to what kind of questions they ask?
  17. I've just begun my VSG journey. Actually starting my 6 months of WW this Tuesday. I've read and read so many success stories, blogs looked at tons of before and after pictures. My only question is does anyone honestly regret having this procedure done? I'm not talking about the first few days or weeks while you're still adjusting I'm taking about months or years later? This is a huge decision for me so I wanna know the good the bad and the ugly, lol. I just thought it was strange that I haven't read one single story where the person says they regret their decision to have this done.
