I thought Victory Medical Center was great. The nurses were attentive, professional and so nice!

It was about 2 weeks for me.

I am much better now! I think I was overdoing it. I have been back to work for a week (last week was really, really tough!). After resting this weekend, I really feel great. Energy level is much better. Still on liquids but no problems drinking Water or anything now. I started my supplements pretty soon after my surgery.

Pain I was having on Saturday is much improved! I guess I was taken aback because I was feeling so great and then felt so terrible. Sunday was a good day and felt much better. First day back to work went much better than expected. By the end of the day I was pretty tired and very ready to get home! Today was first day I dealt with feeling hungry. I have been on clear liquids so as soon as I got home I fixed a protein shake. It didn't help much. About 2 hrs after that I fixed some Trader Joes Latin Bean Soup. Yum! Getting in liquids/water now is no problem. Now for some reason I'm paranoid about stretching my stomach. Is anyone else experiencing this paranoia? I have only just been putting liquids in my body but I drink quicker than I am probably supposed to now that it doesn't hurt. I envision a water balloon! I'm so weird! ????

Is anyone else may 6 or 7 left side still in severe pain? Gas/bloat is pretty much gone. Yesterday I felt great but this am I woke up at 5 feeling like I had been beaten up overnight. Was trying to wean myself of pain meds but gave in at 5:30 am and then again at 5 pm (took 1/2 dose). I walked the entire neighborhood and then went to Target w my daughter to find some loose dresses. We had to leave bc i thought i was going to pass out! Just took a full dose of meds and as I climbed into bed, I felt my staples were going to rip out. Horrible pain! Also drinking liquids (Isopure, broth) does not bother me but for some reason water really hurts going down. This is new as well. I have to return to work Monday and I'm getting a bit nervous. Luckily, I sit most of the day. Despite the set back today, I am so happy with my sleeve! I luckily am not having any cravings and am satisfied with the liquids. Although i am thinking more and more about what all i can mush together once i get released to pureed food. I hope you all are doing well and may all the mothers have an extra special day tomorrow! Going to lunch with my family. Won Ton soup (86 the wontons) for me!

I came home yesterday evening. I live in Plano, TX. Recovery has been ok. I am still taking pain meds pretty regularly. I really start hurting when it wears off. I walked quite a bit today (until big storm came in). That has helped some. Trying to get all liquids in is difficult. I haven't been that hungry either. How are you doing? Where do you live?

I had my surgery May 7. I too had a much harder time after surgery than I expected. Pain and nauseous. Dry heaving is not fun. Feel so much better now. Struggling with drinking Isopure. I'm not hungry at all. Congratulations to all of you!

My surgery is today. Had to be at hospital at 6:30 am. My surgery was scheduled for 10. It is now 12:20. 2 people are still ahead of me. Nurses say this is very typical of Dr. Kim. Just be prepared to wait...

Bag is packed! Have to be at hospital at 6:30 am. Good luck to everyone who is having surgery tomorrow. New chapter for us! So glad to have this forum. My husband is not happy at all that I am doing this. Hopefully he will come around bc it sure would be better to have his support. My best friend is very supportive, my mom too although she doesn't necessarily think I should be doing this. Once they see my old happy, healthy self I think all will be better!

I am having my surgery May 7 with Dr. Kim. I started my liquid diet today. Getting a bit nervous about surgery but I am also very excited. I too am having my surgery at Victory Medical. I live in Texas (Plano, just outside Dallas).
