I have not weighed myself in 4 weeks. I moved from Maryland to Texas and could not find my scale. My last weigh in was at 206lbs. I woke up this morning and found the scale. To my surprise I weighed in 198.2. I can't explain the joy My entire adult life I have weighed over 200 pounds. Today is a good day. I'm still on the journey but I'm extremely motivated to keep going.

Mizzougirl, I'm so glad you went to the ER. I was really concerned. Glad to hear all levels are well and you are in good shape. Continue to recover at your own pace.

Has anybody tried mash potatoes yet? How has that gone down?
-
I just made the Ricotta Bake. It was tasty. However I was only able to have about 2-3small bites aprox. 2 ounces. Then I started to burp. That was my signal to stop. My stomach is trying to adjust to the food as well.
-
Let me add. I didn't use all the cream cheese. May 2 tablespoons.

Wags.....this is what i sent to Mizzougirl offline. This is my modified version since we are watching our new figures. 1/2 pound of Fresh lump crab meat or 1 can. 1 pkg of Low fat cream cheese or low fat mayo, old bay seasoning, garlic and onion powder, margarine, herb seasoning of your choice. Mix in a bowl. Scoop I teaspoon full and roll them or make tiny crab cakes. Bake or Broil at 350 for 10 mins. I'm one of those cooks who don't usually measure so I don't think my measurements are the best. Lol.

Hi ladies. Today for breakfast I had a half of 1 egg. I've been more thirsty today so I've been focusing on my water intake. I feel a little dehydrated. However for dinner I'm going to have a 1 ounce crab ball and a little guacamole again. Tomorrow I'm going to try the Ricotta Bake. You all make it sound so good. I'm afraid to feel full so I haven't tried to eat more than 2 ounces or 1/4 of food. Mash potatoes sound so good but I'm don't know I'm ready to introduce the carb yet. I want to loose a little more. fYI Two weeks post op and I'm down 25 pounds. How are my team Sleevers doing?

Thank you Mizzougirl for the encouragement. ????

My follow up is on Thursday. I meet with my NUT on Saturday to get ready for weeks 5 and beyond. According to my NUT schedule weeks 3&4 is the purée stage. Base on that it appears that I can incorporate more variety. There is some light peeking through. Have you all started on your recipes or menus for the purée stage? Do share?

Late reply.... Yesterday was not a good intake day for me. Not because of my stomach pains. Im frustrated with soups, protein drinks, and apple sauce and yogurt. I barely ate at all I had about 8 ounces of apple sauce all day. I slept all day too just to avoid eating. I know it's not healthy. I was just in a negative space yesterday. Hopefully I can work through this.

Happy one week Sleeversary. I'm happy to read everyone is doing well and progressing. My progress is going well. Still trying to get comfortable with the soup going down. I think for some reason I'm still a little bloated or I'm taking in too much air when I sip. When the fluid hits my stomach it feels weird. How does fluid or soup feel going down for everyone else?

I had my surgery on Friday. i was extremely exhausted to write you all. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Today is day 2. My first 24 hours were a challenge. I was very thirsty and I had a lot of chest pain and nausea. Yesterday I was able to walk a little around my room. I passed my leak test yesterday morning so they allowed me to drink. However, the sensation of liquid on my stomach increased the nausea pain. I'm trying to work through the pain mentally and drink anyway. I don't want to become dehydrated. My blood pressure was high. In the last hour it appears to be lowering. They wont let me go home if it stays high. Keeping a positive mindset is key for me. Although some things don't look or feel well I have to believe that will pass. I'm taking one moment at a time. Everyday will get better.

I'm feeling better today. I have these stomach growls. Not sure if its hunger or gas movement. My tummy is still bloated. I too have back pain. It's interesting my pain shifts back and forth from one section of tummy to a section in my back. Im tolerating it. I'm still trying to get the protein in too. Im better at staying hydrated vs the meals.
-
I'm bored with broths and protein shakes too. I don't mind not eating. I just need some more flavor variety.
-
That's all I'm focusing on too. My regiment is walk, drink, rest.

My doc has me on liquids for 2 weeks post op. By next Friday I would have been on liquids for a total of 3 weeks. Ugggg!!! I slept well last night. Probably too long. I didn't get enough liquids in to keep up with my hydration. I skipped my morning protein because I was sleeping because I am weak. I know that now I have to play catch up. I'm sipping on 4 ounces of protein. How is everybody?

OMG. I just read everyone's experience over the past few days. We have had quite an adventure TEAM sleevers. I apologize for being distant in my writings. I have had some challenges as well. I've been able to keep in touch with Mizzougirl offline. She is a trooper. I didn't realize everyone was updating their stories. I can't go back in full detail but if anyone had questions i don't mind sharing. But I will stay current. Wags I'm so glad you are back on state side. My heart goes out to you. You are Brave and admired for your strength to persevere through the mental and the physical challenges. I know this experience will make you a stronger person. Some roads we take in life we have to travel alone so that you can help someone who may not have the support. Yay Wags!!! How are you settling in?

When will this gas/nausea end? Im 3 days post op and I'm walking, resting and drinking. The gas is not moving.
