Any APRIL SLEEVERS? Let me know your progress !
tammalina replied to beachblondeee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved April 9th. Started at 270, down 48 pounds yesterday inclduing 5 day liquid pre op. I thought that was great but after reading some other success I worry thats not good. I just hope I keep loosing. I want to be able to shop at a store without having to look at plus sizes. Sometimes I worry becuase I dont get full after a few bites but probably more like 5 oz or so, depends on what Im eating. Any one else have the same experience? I feel great with my loss so far and am exercising 5 days week usually walking/jogging, elliptical and small weights. I deff am not interested in food like I was before -
I am 2 1/2 months post op and losing hair already. My hair is already thin becuase of my thyroid and now Im losing even more. I have been using the fall fight shampoo and conditioner but apparently not working. I was int he store and there are so many different kinds of Biotin. What kind and what dose do people use?

Is ok to eat a taco. Soft or hard?
tammalina replied to krystalt313's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 weeks post op and also have had no problems with food; I had a soft taco the other day from taco bell and did fine. I ordered it with no lettuce and then I ripped most of the soft shell off as only the bottom of the taco had the meat and cheese in it and I did fine. Good luck. -

This is very interesting, thank you. Quick question, I am 6 weeks out and havent had salad yet, my nut said its a food people commonly have trouble with. So far no problems with anything, yay. So how is everyone doing with lettuce/salad? How long should I wait to try?

Try not to stress. The stall will go away. Your at a common time. Im almost 7 weeks out and at 3 1/2 weeks I was down 34 pounds and then I stalled nothing for 3 weeks but a pound loss and this week im down 4 1/2 more pounds. Measure your inches, b/c Im sure your losing. Stay positive!

I am 5 weeks out and have only lost 2 pounds over the last two weeks:( Im down 34 pounds and get frustrated that I wont lose anymore and then I hear about people losing more than that on their own without surgery and i get even more frustrated. How do you break these stalls?

Thank you. i will add more protein drinks b/c I havent been getting in as much as I should. I am below calories b/c now I get a guilty feeling when i eat, feeling like I shouldnt to lose weight:( hopefully Ill see the scale move again soon! -
I am 3 1/2 weeks post op and have lost 31 pounds total including pre op diet 15 pounds. I have not however lost any more weight over the last week, my first stall possibly and I am feeling hopeless that I will not lose anymore although I know that is not true. Has any one else had issues at this point? What are people eating at this stage? my doc said pureed for 5 weeks but some things like chicken I am just chewing really well but just a few bites and im satisfied.

3 weeks post op need help with pureed stage
tammalina posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone, I am three weeks post op and on pureed stage for 5 more weeks:( ughhh. Im not very hungry but need help with ideas, a few bites satisfies me, yay. So far i ahve had chicken, a meat ball, scrambled egg, chili, and have done well. The pureed stage does not look very appetiting and im wondering if other post op people chewed food really well or actually pureed food? Any good food suggestions? -
Did you have to puree it on pureed stage?
-
I see the doc tomorrow and hope to advance to pureed stage. What did you eat on this stage? Did certain foods cause problems? Was the texture difficult? Im afraid of vomiting and nausea. How long were you on the pureed stage? Please help.

Glad to hear that people are able to tolerate foods like a cheeseburger; no one is perfect, I say its ok to treat yourself every now and then. I didnt get this sleeve to be miserable about what I am eating but instead to limit my portions. Of course I will watch what i eat. Im almost two weeks out and see doctor next week to hopefully progress to pureed stage. Any help with that stage is very welcome???????? What did people eat, did certain foods make you sick? Did you have to puree food or just chew it really good? Please help

I had surgery 4/9, I follow up with the doctor next week and hope to get approval for pureed stage. I have so many questions for those who have been through it already!!!! What kind of foods did people start out with? Did any foods cause problems and what kind? Did anyone have trouble with the texture of baby food verses solid food? When shopping what do you look at calories or carbs, sugars? Did anyone have issues with sugars, I didnt think you got the dumping syndrom with sleeve but it sounds like some poeple do?

Recipe ideas for the puree stage...
tammalina replied to kc82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So I will be starting pureed in about one week, i think my doc makes you wait two weeks post op what about others docs? So your first few days of pureed your stomach can handle spices like taco seasoning, chicken and beef? Has anyone had difficulty with foods which caused vomiting? I hate vomiting so am afraid.....
