I went out to a restraunt the other day and ordered a cup of seafood chowder sans garlic toast. I got halfway through the cup. I mean this was chunky and thick chowder so of course i am full a lot sooner. The lady goes to take my friend's finished dishes and i ask her to take mine too, to which she said " is everything okay Maam? Is there somthing wrong with your meal???" To which i said "nope! I just have a small stomach". She then proceeded to stare at me before taking my food away. I realized shortly thereafter that to her i probably dont look like a person with a small stomach given my big stomach where i carry all my weight. To me..i forget that the rest of the world doesnt know i had 85 percent of my stomach removed. I must say though...i have had some interesting responses and encounters.. People like to comment on the amount of food a person can eat. For example: i ordered a soft side up egg..1 egg to be exact. I had to order it as a side. The lady asked me if i wanted toast and hashbrowns..and i said " nope..just the egg" and she said "just an egg? 1 egg? Okay?????" She probably thought i was nuts. -
Im thankful i dont chroniclly sweat anymore but for the love of doughnuts!!!! Its freezing...i havent been warm for almost a week straight!! Ive been covering up with fleece hoodies and warm blankets and nothing. I currently have a heating pad im using to try and get warm...My feet are sooooo cold!! They never get warm even if i exercise..

Hey all..i will go first.. Sleeved by Dr. Ortiz in TJ Mexico HW: 315 6FT TALL!! DOS: 299 CW: 262.0 53 pounds lost in 7 weeks Im doing good..still confused as to what i am not allowed to eat still.. Ive learned lately that saltine crackers are evil and slide right down as does popcorn and triggers cravings so those are not allowed in the house anymore!! I feel like i can eat a lot but im still only able to eat 2-3 oz of dense Protein or 1/2 cup Soup or yogurt. I am happy to have gone from a size 24w down to an 18w in pants and from 4x shirts down to 2x shirts and size 13wide shoes down to 12 regular shoes and a 48 C down to a 42B. I still feel fat and dont see it so much and many other people dont seem to notice still. -
Just putting it out there, so 'dirty' little secrets may see the light of day!

I ate 6 (evil spawn slider) crackers with tuna plus 1 -400 calorie fruit smoothie and ate seafood chowder twice in one day...again its killing me to think of the fat and calories in those Soups and the smoothies..Why do crackers have to be so addicti e and go down so easy!!! Evil SALTINES....oh how i love you!!! I love love love saltine crackers and its oh so bad...what a slider...goes down too easy even with tuna on top. I have to stay away from crackers

I confess ive eaten waaaytoo much unhealthy fatty food in the past 4 days I confess i havent taken one vitamin since before surgery I confess i havent done my exercise for the past four days I confess i still have days where i will snack and snack and snack cause im feeling low and depressed and im trying to make myself feel better I confess that i NEED to get back on track and watch those carbs including those evil spawn saltines I confess i am afraid of the sounds my stomach is making after i ate some salmon on crackers!! Yikes!! I confess that im worried i wont lose enough weight and i wont look any different. I confess that even though my pants size is still plus size..my bum says i belong in regular size underwear -

I feel so guilty tonight. I had a date with my hubby and normally i eat very very well with keeping things low carb. I never go a day without writing stuff down and i know almost every calorie that goes into my mouth...that being said.... I am away from home..my food diary is at home along with my measuring tools. I am in an anxious situation(at his parents and sisters house) I feel socially ackward and like ive said..since surgery ive been meticulous and watch everything i eat...BUT not tonight.. Post visiting with my husbands family today..we went to walmart.. we were both starving and it was 6pm and my only meal today was tuna on 4 crackers. So what did we grab?? An old favorite comfort food of mine: baked goods.. We got these two bite looking blondies(tastes like a mini white chocolate cookie) I started off good with buying greek yogurt in individual servings but found myself in the cracker isle where i gave in to buying these "potato thins" made by mr. Christie. I was certain it was going to be exactly like the snackwells cracker chips they had out when i was a kid that i used to consider comforting. It was true! I ended up eating today: 4 crackers with tuna(one of those little snack packs to go) 1 large hot chocolate(the gas station kind made with water) 1 handful of doritos chips(these go down too easy-first time trying since surgery) 1/2 of a small spanokapita 2 mini blondies..literally one bite size 1 potato thin chip- just to try it out 1/2 small buttered popcorn at the movies 1/4 cup of apple juice roughly This was consumed between the hours of 10AM and 11PM..All i can think is OMG..thats a lot of junk food in one day..i have never had such a bad day of eating like this since before surgery. The carbs!!! The calories...!!! The salt and Fat content!!! Oh my god!!! I cant get over thinking about how many calories were in a cup of that movie popcorn!!! No wonder i was snacking all day..i was on the road driving all day without my usual chicken deli meat roll ups and egg salad or tortilla thin. I wasnt drinking enough water or getting enough protein. I was grabbing comfort food after comfort food and it wasnt filling me up!!! The only thing that made me full all day was my small spanokipita, which didnt occur till later in the day. I needed to say somthing!!! I cant even begin to describe how guilty i feel for putting that crap in my body..especially after losing 52 pounds in 6 weeks...streeeeeeeeess!!!!!!!!! I hate family gatherings and social events..i want to go hide...and I WANT my routine back!!! And my chicken deli roll ups with cranberry and a little mayo!!!!!!!!!!! -
Just wondering if anybody does HIIT on the treadmill? I did my first 10 minute round of intervals plus 10 min warm up and cool down and it was crazy...my heart rate was soaring and i could barely stay on the treadmill. I was running at 7.0 for 30 seconds and then it took roughly two minutes of slow walking to get my heart rate down far enough before running another 30 seconds.. My legs burned!! I thought i wasnt going to make it through a 6 cycle interval session but i did- barely!! Thank God for a break day tommorow!

Just wondering what kind of cardio would be most effective in helping me to shed this belly? My arms and legs lose weight fast but i find it difficult to shed belly fat and back fat. I look like an orange on sticks! -

Im coming to the end of week 6 post op and last night i sat down and ate 3oz of baked chicken less 1tbsp. I stopped myself from eating the full 3 ounces because i was afraid i was eating too much.. but i noticed that an hour later i was eating again..it didnt keep me very full.. -i did not drink for an hour after eating and i dont drink during eating. - i can eat 3/4 cup tomato Soup or 1/2 cup of greek yogurt or 1/2 cup of hummus or 7 saltines with a tsp of salmon salad on each cracker...is this normal? How much should i be able to eat? Also... what am i allowed to eat 6-7 weeks out now? I lost my post op menu plan -

I cant tolerate deep fried anything including fries..cant have high fat or greasy foods like chedder cheese or liquid whipping cream in a smoothie..sugary foods make me flushed and hot and my heart races but give me greasy or fattening foods and it makes me want to puke its soooo painful going down and staying down. I have a spoon of ice cream but its "skinny cow" brand that is 99 percent fat free..tastes good to me..doesnt make me sick -

Im 1 month and two weeks post op and i have been seeing a counsellor since two weeks prior to surgery and i am also attending Overeaters Anonomous every week which is very very helpful! I understand how you are feeling. I myself have gotten into the crackers BUT i load them up with tuna or salmon in order to get my Protein in and to ensure that i get full faster because i know if i eat straight crackers i will eat and eat and eat and never get full. I think a lot of issues with are past behaviors of eating stem from are emotions and feelings from back when we were kids. I know as a kid i felt very deprived because my parents werent rich and junk food like chocolate and pastries were not a common occurance. I also had a mother who had an eating disorder and her feelings about me getting fat controlled what she fed me.(she was anorexic) Point is: i struggled with bingeing and closet eating and anxiety eating and starving myself too..i wanted to control my eating and that led to a lot of uncontrolled bingeing and eating because it became too hard to constantly control for the unknown. Anyway..thats my thoughts. Maybe counselling would help you or journalling along with a food diary..but if there is one thing ive learned..i need to let go of this dieting mentality..this control..and just let the sleeve work and write down what i eat and the calories too and use my knowledgeof whats healthy and un healthy and make the best choices for me..to go low carb or low fat or no fat or whatever else..just leads to me getting frustrated and then i dont lose weight due to over stressing. Hope this helps a little -

So it seems that in the only store in town..your choices for yogurt are: -2 Percent vanilla yogurt that is no sugar added -0 Percent vanilla yogurt that is no sugar added -10 Percent vanilla greek yogurt made with sugar -O Percent vanilla greek yogurt made with sugar See the problem? All the greek yogurts either contain sugar or they contain seeds or pieces of fruit like strawberries or blueberries. All the other regular non greek yogurts come in several varieties but the carb count ranges from 6 to 14 gramsof carbs which some comes from the milk. So which would you choose? 0 percent high protein(18 grams) full sugar greek yogurt? Or No sugar added low cal regular vanilla yogurt which contains only 4 gramsof Protein and 6 carbs?
