Oh, boy!! Well we're getting really fierce wind this afternoon. Hope that doesn't get to you, too! Everything outside is blowing away. :tt1: A snowmobile ride to Madison doesn't sound like fun!! But if you're desparate!! I was thinking of flying home to Seattle for a fill, but now the scale is moving again so maybe I will just wait until we get home in the spring.

And there are other ways to satisfy your pizza craving... be creative. My Another pizza idea: DH is trying to lose some weight, too, so he just made himself some "pizza" for lunch. He used a slice of 45 calorie Sara Lee bread, toasted it, put some pizza sauce on it, a few pieces of diced ham, shredded some mozarella cheese on top and stuck it in the oven long enough to melt the cheese. He let me have a little triangle...three bites, and it was very good.

You will probably want to avoid doughy pizza, but an occassional splurge with a thin crust might be okay. We once in a while will get a Domino's thin crust. Just don't go overboard with the pepperoni and cheese.... have lots of veggies on it.

I don't know about Wisconsin right now, but it was mighty cold there the other day!! And it's not all that great here in the So Cal desert, either!! About 50 this morning but the wind is so mean. It's cloudy and very windy and it rained from Saturday night until Sunday night. Not the kind of winter we've experienced the past few years!

I have no idea and I don't want to know. But, Uncle Ed was divorced and didn't date or anything for 32 years, so who knows!! He may be trying to make up for lost time! I do know that 10 years ago they were caught more than once with rumpled clothes and messed up hair!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

2008--- I bet that's it!!! You hit the nail on the head!! But 2009 is a long way off!! That's a lot of HIVES!! Yeah, Uncle Ed is a hoot alright!! Isn't it convenient... he's my Dad's brother so has the same last name as my Mom... they try to pass themselves off as married. It's so annoying. I have, however, on a number of occasions, been gracious enough to thank him for taking such good care of my Mom.

You betcha!! And how do you like those pants???? Age is just a number! I'm still a teenager at heart!! Got my hair punked again last week, too!! LOL  Thanks for the compliment! I dressed up in bright pink for church this morning and I got so many compliments! And a few who know about my surgery wanted to know how much I'm down now. It was great encouragement!

So sorry you're feeling sad about your Dad today. Mine died in Dec 95' and now my Mom is, hmmmm, do I have to say "shacked up" (at 86 yrs old) with his younger brother, my uncle Ed.. and he is a super colossal jerk with a capital J!! My three sisters and I can't stand him. My Dad never got along with him and he's probably turned over in his grave multiple times over this! Every time I go home to visit Mom I end up in a fight with UNCLE ED!! Grrrrr! Two of my sisters still live there so they have to put up with him all the time. It's gotten so bad that my Mom has to have one of my sisters take her over to see my Aunt Genny, who is so sick with cancer now, because Aunt Genny can't stand the sight of him. Family!! Ain't it fun!

We did have a GREAT time and I'm so glad because her DH is such a jerk. I don't think he even bought her a birthday present. And at the tram, just before you board, they pose you for a photo.. cruise ship style, and she said several times "put your arm around me" and the J...A.. wouldn't and had to be coaxed by the photographer to stand closer to her. Grrrrr. Yes, I'm proud of those jeans!! I did walk some, but not too much. We were at the street fair about three hours and it's all spread out, so no way. And at the tram, once we got up there we were up & down & up & down the elevator I don't know how many times... There were gift shops to see and we went out on the observation deck to look at the view, etc. But, out and about and having fun is good... much more exercise than sitting in the RV in front of the TV which is probably what I"m going to be doing today because it won't stop raining!! Weird winter weather in the desert this year, eh Janet???? IndioGirl.... where are you???

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

The stuff I get is Spring Valley and it's B-Complex +B-12 Sublingual, but it's a liquid. You let it sit there under your tongue for 30 seconds and then you can swallow it. The bottle I have now is from Wal-Mart but I've bought it at Target, too, and I think it's the same brand name there. I just can't get those B-Complex capsules down and if I do, they keep repeating on me and make me sick to my stomach. I much prefer this sublingual liquid.

I had a really fun day today. My sister was down here from OR (in San Diego for a hospital conference), so they drove over last night and I got to spend her 60th birthday with her today. We went to a street fair and shopped for about 3 hours, then we drove over to Palm Springs & went up the Aerial Tram and had dinner up there. It was great fun. Had a nice dinner of grilled scallops, had a little garlic mashed potatoes, nixed the bread, had a glass of wine (bad) and one bread stick.. the hard, pretzel type. I think I did pretty good all day except for that one glass of wine... way bigger than what I usually have. It was snowing hard up there by the time we came down. And pouring down rain here now! So much rain this winter!! The desert is turning green!

You look FABULOUS!!! What a difference!!! Look at those shapely hips!! :hurray::cursing::hurray: Is there a comma after the "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" and before the coffee???:coffee: Do we get exercise credit for that kind of activity???:redface::mad::redface::redface::redface::redface::redface::redface::redface::redface: That is a GREAT idea!! Don't know of one, but maybe someone will come up with something! They do that at the Seattle Bash, I know. I still might get to fly home and go to that. Sounds like great fun.

I'm here!!! Cheez!! You're three days ahead of me on exercise now!! You're really cruisin' on that treadmill!! And, I missed yesterday because of our little trip to Quartzsite. I did get in a little more walking than I planned on!! My scooter batteries died after only THREE HOURS of shopping!! So we found a place to eat and DH took it in and plugged it into the wall. (Didn't ask permission, but they didn't even seem to notice it was plugged in!!) Then we went back to the swap meets but it quit again after only 15 more minutes!! But AZ time it was going on 5pm by then and everything was closing up anyway. But both times, when the batteries quit, I had to walk quite a ways to get to the car!! Forced exercise! Knee hurt after the 2nd time. But I'm tough! I've been doing a little research on the internet. Doc that you told me about...looks like he is primarilly plastic surgeon and possibly not board certified for WLS, so might not be a good idea. I'd be a little nervous about going to him. But there is one in Riverside and he is even "Center of Excellene" (Medicare requirement), so I sent them an email. BUT, I found out I can get a round trip ticket Palm Springs-Seattle, for 1/3 the cost of what your doc wants to give me a fill! So I might fly up there for about 5 days and time it so I can go the the Seattle Splash Bandster Bash!! Have to call Monday and see how flexible they are about giving me an appt with my doctor. Their "rules" are 1st & 3rd Mondays! I want to fly up on a Tues or Wed & come back on Sunday! If I can't work anything out, I'll just have to bite the bullet until I can get home in April!!

I'll tell you what....now understand, I'm NOT complaining, BUT, this is the coolest, wettest winter we've had down here yet!! But we're still in the pool every morning, so you know it's not THAT BAD!! I wish I could send you a little bit of sunshine!! I do LOVE it down here!! I've been trying to talk my DH into buying something more permanent, like a park model or mobile home, for several years, but he's not about to do that!! So our condo in WA will sit empty until it's warm enough to go home!! That could be August!! LOL Where did you say you are... I forgot???? My condolences!!!

Kathy, So sorry to hear about your Dad. That's such a difficult thing to go through even when you have the Peace that comes with knowing he's gone to a better place and that he is free of any suffering. Headaches.... I've been troubled with intermittent "travelling" headache for the last couple of weeks... been mostly in one spot on the left, today it moved around to the right! Not bad, just persistent annoying ache. Weigh in today... depressing... 6/10 of a lb last week, only 2/10 lb this week! Think I will call Janet's doc and see if I can get a fill. Was going to wait until we get home in April, but not a good idea. Can't stand this slow agonizing pace!! 2.8 lb so far this whole month!! And it's making me grumpy! Supposed to go to Quartzsite tomorrow and check out the big RV show, swap meets, etc. but it's so cold and miserable and now it's raining. Wonder if it's raining over there, too. Neighbor's network has been down for two days so I just got back online late this afternoon! Another thing to be grumpy about! He has me on his network, so when he goes down, I'm out of commission, too! They're only allowed so many MB per day and when it's exceeded they get cut off. Last time it was my fault, this time they did it! At any rate, I MISSED my bandster buddies!!!

:rolleyes2: I completely understand your treadmill issue!! I have the same problem in the locker room at the pool. Ladies just don't seem to understand which shower is mine! Get real! I use it at the same time EVERY day! There's no excuse for someone else to be in it when it's MY TIME!!
