Same here. I was sleeved 4/16 and my sex drive went out the window. Never had trouble before. I have had some complications so that may have hindered my libido. I feel so sorry for my hubby. He is being patient though. He'll tease me and be like "just touch it" or "woller it in your mouth". The thought of that right now makes me gag. Never had the problem before. Hope it gets better for us soon.

Why are my readings not coming down?!?!?!
mandyrenee82 replied to bascott73's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When I started my 6 month process my a1c was over 10. Was sleeved 4/16 and just had blood work last week. My a1c is now 6.6. I haven't had to take a shot of insulin since my surgery. It's a wonderful feeling not having to stab yourself with a needle 4-5 times a day! -
Is anyone else or has anyone else experienced this? My entire body is itching like its on fire!! I'm not dehydrated and my husband and I are constantly putting lotion on me. Even calamine lotion in the really itchy places (behind my knees). I don't know what else to do. It's like I'm being attacked by mobs of fleas. No rashes or anything. I figure it was because of losing the weight and skin changes. Anyone have any ideas? I'm desperate!! Thanks, Mandy

I'm barely a c cup but usually just get b cups. I haven't noticed a cup size change but have had to adjust to the tightest band. Ugh. If I lose what lil boobs I have, definitely getting a boob job when I hit my goal.

Yes it will be a bad one. I have pcos and hadn't had a period in almost 2 years. I spotted the day after my surgery. 4/16 Nothing major. Three days ago, it started with a vengeance. It's like the Texas chainsaw massacre is going on in there. Tmi I know. Worst period I've had in my life and its not let up any yet. Surgeon said estrogen would slam me after I lost so much and restart them. I'm down 60 pounds and he was right. I didn't miss this at all bit glad my body is trying to get back to normal.

I don't regret anything either. I had a few complications after surgery that made me regret it for a while. I had a major gout attack in my left knee and foot. Couldn't walk for almost 3 weeks. Now that I'm better, it's totally worth it. I couldn't do it on my own. No more insulin, bp meds cut down. It's wonderful. Hopefully no more gout attacks!

Did anyone else's hormones go nuts after surgery? I was sleeved 4/16. Shortly after that George jones died (I'm a huge country music fan just not this new country crap). I cried for days and still tear up if I hear one of his songs. That's not all. One minute I'm happy, the next I'm bawling like a baby. For no reason. My surgeon said that the more weight I lose, the more estrogen will be put in my body so my hormones would be whacked. I'm so tired of the ups and downs. I'm starting to even tear up writing this. Anyone else going/went through the same thing? It's embarrassing but my husband is really supportive but I know it must be driving him nuts, too. Any ideas for relief or help?

Anyone with PCOS?
mandyrenee82 replied to nataliesunshine's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Haven't noticed anything yet. I'm just now a month out. I did, however, start my period the day after surgery and I hadn't had one for over a year. My hormones are kinda whacky. One minute I'm happy the next I'm crying for no reason. Surgeon said the more weight I lose the more estrogen is going to be released. So it may be a wild ride for us with our changing hormones. -

I was 18 when I was diagnosed. It's a pain in the rear. And no one else understands unless they have it, too. -
Help! Hair loss!
mandyrenee82 replied to TropicalGirl1205's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Try Garnier Fructis fall fight shampoo and conditioner and products. It has biotin and caffeine in it to help with hair loss and breakage. I lose my hair because of pcos and I've noticed a big difference since starting this regime. I hope it continues to help when I hit that 3-4 month mark too. -
Anyone with PCOS?
mandyrenee82 replied to nataliesunshine's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have PCOS. It's the worst. My husband and I want a baby so bad. We are hoping this weight loss helps. I hadn't had a period for over a year. The day after surgery, I got it. My hormones are changing. One minute I'm happy and the next cry at the drop of a hat. I guess when your body is out of whack it takes a lot to get it back to normal. Losing my hair and excess body hair is the worst thing about pcos thAt people notice anyway. Hoping this sleeve will alleviate some of the symptoms. I was sleeved4/16 -
Whats your bucket list heres mine for 2013
mandyrenee82 replied to buddy love's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was sleeved 4/16 and as of last Monday lost 41 pounds. The thing I want more than anything is to be able to walk and not get short winded and stop taking frequent breaks because my legs, feet, etc hurt. Get pregnant (pcos) my husband and I have tried since we've been married. Almost 5 years. Get a tattoo of a violet on my foot in honor of my great grandma whose name is Violet. She's 86. Blessed to still have her in my life. She's my hero. Wear a bathing suit that doesn't have a skirt or big ugly flowers on it. Finish college and get a better than minimum wage job. Go to Hawaii. Buy a huge farm and foster/rescue animals til they can find their permanent loving homes. -
Quest cinnamon roll and the brownie ones are good too

When can we drink soda
mandyrenee82 replied to amielou26's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I crave pop. Only because I'm tired of drinking water, koolaid, and decaf tea. Pop is bad for you. Especially diet. If consumed continuously, it can eat your kidneys up. I've seen a nephrologist since I was 4. He declares pop as evil but says drink it in moderation, once twice a week. My surgeon said no carbonated beverages either. I have tried any yet. Hopefully I won't but I may have to try an ounce or two of cherry coke zero. I'm definitely not going to be drinking 3-4 bottles a day. Worse comes to worse, try it. It might make you sicker than a dog and you won't have to worry about drinking it anymore. -
I'm not sure if Benadryl is a drug we can have. Anyone else know?

I think it's because of skin changes. I don't take any kinds of those meds mentioned above. It seems to happen more at night than any other time and my legs are the worst.
