Probably won't need it if that's all you plan on using it for. I didn't really need a blender on any of my food stages. I do have a VItamix though and do really like it!

Sorry for what you're going through. Life is too short to be unhappy.

Those are huge results!! Great job!

The brand I use is Health Wise and buy it in the hospital pharmacy where I had my surgery about 5 mins from my where I live. It's 8.25 for 7 pkgs. Kind of expensive I know but less than I've seen online. I could always ship you some if you can't find it when you're in Houston.

Surgery a year ago and have not lost much!
MIJourney replied to jdosal4's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Try tracking your intake with myfitnesspal or just write it down in a journal. You may be eating more calories than you think. Good luck with your journey. -
Don't worry. Stick with your plan. There will be days the scale doesn't move but it will always start up again. Try to weigh in once a week. Search the forum for 3 week stall. You'll see many have experienced it. Good luck with your journey!

Do I have to keep a food diary?
MIJourney replied to Ree's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I keep one and plan on doing so for quite a while. Can't say whether I'll do it forever but at least until I reach goal and maintain for a year or so. -
Beware the Sugar-Free Jelly Belly: A Cautionary Tale
MIJourney replied to Daydra's topic in Food and Nutrition
Used to love those pre-sleeve but never had the sugar-free version. Haven't had any candy yet but thanks for the heads up! Pre-sleeve sugar-free life savers caused extreme stomach pain for me so never had those again. -

i feel like ive screwed up the surgery!
MIJourney replied to Heather M's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you're surgery was 6 weeks ago I don't think you've screwed up your metabolism in that length of time even with the complications you've had. The first 2 weeks I was averaging 250-300 cals per day. Just stick with your guidelines and the weight will come off. There may be days or weeks that the scale stands still but it will kick in again. Your body needs to adjust periodically and you've lost a large amount of weight already in a relatively short time. Good luck on your journey! -
I think at 2 days out I was still asleep pretty much most of the day

post operative surgery meal
MIJourney replied to marcher40's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was cleared for most all foods at 6 weeks out. That said I haven't had any wheat to speak of yet as I'm pretty much still eating protein. -
Congratulations on your progress so far!! Sorry can't help you with the throat thing but if you've had it checked out and they don't see anything it may be just something that will get better with time. I know I had a problem drinking water for almost 4 months without having a wierd sensation in my stomach. Good luck on your journey!

dumping syndrome!
MIJourney replied to DanielleSleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Never had it. Did you eat something weird that caused it? -
I think she meant Flat Out. I saw it at the grocery store but haven't bought it yet. 7g of Protein in the thin crust Artisian http://www.flatoutbread.com/products/thin-crust-artisan-pizza/rustic-whit/
-
Sorry can't answer that question. Just noticed when looking at them at GNC the the ones labeled "natural" have 160-170 cals where the others are 190-over 200.

Today is my 3rd day after the sleeve and cant get not even 50g of protein! Help!
MIJourney replied to AdrianaNaji's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with everyone. Baby steps...concentrate on liquids any way you can get them. Water, broth, SF popsicles. Dont get dehyrated. The protein will increase with time. -
Day 4 and lots of Nausea
MIJourney replied to pink303's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A headache can also be a sign of dehydration. Push fluids. -
