    Should I Buy a Vitamix?

Probably won't need it if that's all you plan on using it for. I didn't really need a blender on any of my food stages. I do have a VItamix though and do really like it!

Gentlemen... Please advise me! Re: Cheating

Sorry for what you're going through. Life is too short to be unhappy.

Those are huge results!! Great job!

    Coffee and hot chocolate

The brand I use is Health Wise and buy it in the hospital pharmacy where I had my surgery about 5 mins from my where I live. It's 8.25 for 7 pkgs. Kind of expensive I know but less than I've seen online. I could always ship you some if you can't find it when you're in Houston.
  5. Try tracking your intake with myfitnesspal or just write it down in a journal. You may be eating more calories than you think. Good luck with your journey.

    I am not losing

Don't worry. Stick with your plan. There will be days the scale doesn't move but it will always start up again. Try to weigh in once a week. Search the forum for 3 week stall. You'll see many have experienced it. Good luck with your journey!

Are you drinking any clear liquids like isopure? Protein will help keep hunger at bay.

1 week post op .... Progress

    Great start to your journey!!
  11. I keep one and plan on doing so for quite a while. Can't say whether I'll do it forever but at least until I reach goal and maintain for a year or so.
  12. Used to love those pre-sleeve but never had the sugar-free version. Haven't had any candy yet but thanks for the heads up! Pre-sleeve sugar-free life savers caused extreme stomach pain for me so never had those again.

    4 months post op (pic)

    Looking good girl!!!
  15. If you're surgery was 6 weeks ago I don't think you've screwed up your metabolism in that length of time even with the complications you've had. The first 2 weeks I was averaging 250-300 cals per day. Just stick with your guidelines and the weight will come off. There may be days or weeks that the scale stands still but it will kick in again. Your body needs to adjust periodically and you've lost a large amount of weight already in a relatively short time. Good luck on your journey!

    post operative surgery meal

I was cleared for most all foods at 6 weeks out. That said I haven't had any wheat to speak of yet as I'm pretty much still eating protein.

Congratulations on your progress so far!! Sorry can't help you with the throat thing but if you've had it checked out and they don't see anything it may be just something that will get better with time. I know I had a problem drinking water for almost 4 months without having a wierd sensation in my stomach. Good luck on your journey!

    Best Protein Bars

Sorry can't answer that question. Just noticed when looking at them at GNC the the ones labeled "natural" have 160-170 cals where the others are 190-over 200.
  22. I agree with everyone. Baby steps...concentrate on liquids any way you can get them. Water, broth, SF popsicles. Dont get dehyrated. The protein will increase with time.

Day 4 and lots of Nausea

A headache can also be a sign of dehydration. Push fluids.
