  1. 5 ft tall and at 2 months post-op I was down 45 lbs.
  2. I didnt weigh in until my 2 week post-op vist. I knew I had put on weight in the hospital from the gas they inflate you with and iv's. Then after that I only got on the scale once a week. It might be hard for you but give it a try Good luck with your journey.
  3. Sorry I can't tell you when you will see the number on the scale move again but it will continue to move down if you follow your plan. If you've been losing 2-3 lbs a day that's a HUGE drop. Try to weigh in once a week if you can. You'll have a better chance of seeing the scale move. Good luck with your journey.

You're looking great and younger too I might add! My sleeve sister had a leak also. I know it's a rough start but looks like you're sailing along now!
  6. You are the incredible shrinking woman!! Great job in only 3 months!! You got this!

    Nightmares

It probably is your mind going 100 miles an hour anticipating every possible problem. I don't usually have nightmares but am the Dream Queen. Not sure how you get those thoughts out of your head but hope you get some good nights of sleep soon!!
  9. Thanks so much. I'm by no means an expert on this Just learning day by day!

    kidney stones :(

Sorry to hear that!! Are you taking calcium supplements?
  12. Drinking water like you used to is fine according to my Dr. It pretty much moves in and out of your stomach. You probably won't feel full or a restriction with your sleeve until you are eating more dense proteins later on. Just stick to your plan while your stomach is healing which takes at least 6 weeks. Good luck on your journey!
  13. Also at my 2 week post-op check up I told the Dr I was not meeting my liquid intake and why. He said it was totally normal and to just do the best I could do with any liquid. SF popsicles were a life-saver at that time.
  14. Have it- have it- have it!!! Seriously though you have to make the decision to do so only when you are ready. Sounds like you've been struggling with that part of it for a few years. If it's been a constant battle with your weight the sleeve is a great aid when you're ready to utilize it. What are your reasons for not going forward? Maybe speaking to a counselor would help define those reasons for you. I'm feeling great, much more comfortable with day to day activities, have cut out most of my meds and seen my labs numbers improve greatly! All good!!! Good luck with your journey and decision.
  15. I have to add this so you might get a chuckle out of it. About 12 yrs ago when I was at a much lower weight (140?) I had a blind date with an unattractive guy with bad teeth but thought I won't be judgemental and will stay through lunch. He then leaned over the table and asked me if I had bangs because I had a receding hairline and did I wax or bleach my upper lip since I didn't have a moustache. I was flabbergasted and said, "What? No and No". A few minutes later I said I forgot I had to pick up my son somewhere and left. Emailed him later that day and said I didn't think I was quite ready to date, trying to not be an asshat like he was. He emailed me back with "oh you think you're better than me huh?". I deleted it of course. Takes all kinds to make the world go round
  16. Life is too short to put up with negative people. You are great and he's a loser.

Go to My Profile- then on the right to Edit My Profile- then on the left to Signature where you can edit it and then Save Changes at the bottom of that. I'm guessing you tried this and it didn't work?

    My 1 month post op

Great job! Love the family bday pic too!
  19. It will subside at some point and hopefully sooner for you. I had problems with drinking ANY water, warm, cold or room temp plain or flavored with crystal light etc.. I could drink hot or iced decaf tea or coffee though. Go figure. Pre-sleeve I drank lots of water but post- sleeve a few sips hit my stomach like a rock and made me feel really woozy. I ended up drinking lots of broth, coffee and tea and kept trying sips of water each day. At 3 1/2 months out I could finally start drinking water again without feeling a wave of nausea. I was very happy when that day came!!! It still doesn't feel quite normal yet but 99% improvement. I HOPE you don't have to wait that long. I think I'm in a minority with my water-drinking skills

    why cant I Juice?

I couldn't do fruits or veggies at 2 weeks out. If you're permitted I don't know why you couldn't if you're adding protein powder to the juice. Remember fruit is full of sugar. Good luck with your journey!

    6 Month Anniversary

WOWSA! Incredible. You must be constantly needing smaller clothes! Congratulations!
  22. Look at you hot mama!!! You're doing super
  23. Concentrate on liquids so you don't get dehydrated. Protein will increase gradually. Don't worry about it the 1st week or so.
