On December 23, 2014 I made the Sleeve work for me!! I have made it passed my goal weight and continuing to maintain it. It felt good to hear from the staff members that they have not seen someone lose has much as I did. Don't know if they where blowing smoke up my Butt but it felt good to hear my hard work paid off. The sleeve is our tool and how we use it is all on us. The journey continues to maintain and good luck to everyone keep up the losing! HW: 265 SW: 260 CW: 127

Hi Sexy-D Candy and snacking was never my problem, but what I've done to lose the weight was a really strict diet. For the first 6 months I had no type of carbohydrate (rice, pasta, bread and potatoes) I exercised 3 times a week for about 2 hours. I made sure i got all my proteins and water intake everyday. Everything the Dr said to do I did everything they said not to I don't. It worked for me but everyone is different. Good luck and don't give up.

My weight loss success!

You look great keep it up! -
Thank you everyone it's nice to get noticed for my hard work. To Jmalveavx64 I hit the gym 3 times a week. I have found that the classes keep me moving and interested to keep coming back for more. The classes I enjoy are Bodypump and Zumba and once in a while I hit up Shabam if it's a back to back class with Bodypump.

Just checking to see how everyone in Vegas is doing? I'm going into my 11th month and down to 135 still want to lose 10 more it's slowed down but gym time has too. Hope everything is doing good and losing ????

Keep up the losing and keep moving!!
-
The weight will start of slow but if you keep yourself busy exercising it will fall of pretty fast. Just my experience in 3 months I lost about 75ish. But I kept moving. On my 6 month I went on a cruise to Alaska and I did fine in fact I lost 10 pounds on the cruise we did a lot of walking and still hit the gym on the boat plus ate really nice no preparing my meals stuck to my protein. Keep up the losing it only gets better. BTW going on two other cruises in Dec and June can't wait!!

Fingers crossed

Are you having a hard time with the last 10 pounds? I'm in the same boat but I stopped going to the gym and slowly starting back up. When I was hitting the gym 2-3 times a week I lost a lot of weight, so to lose my last 10ish pounds I know hitting the gym again is must. I also found that tricking my body helps. I didn't eat bread, pasta or any white cabs for 7 months then slowly ate them for a week or so small bits then totally stopped again and started losing again. Just letting you know what worked for me

@Nusigirl06: sorry to hear that you have to wait, like Auntjanny said keep busy don't let this pull you back. Focusing on something else like building your arm muscles, taking biotin so your hair doesn't thin out to much, things I would have done before hand if only I knew or was told. I pushed my surgery 6 months out after getting approval and kept myself busy it will go by fast.

@@nmsugirl06 it's just around the corner, emotion must be running wild right now????

I don't think people realize that us short people under 5' should weight 100 or less. You'll lose weight fast just make sure you eat your protein. Also as soon as you can hit the gym that worked for me. Don't buy new clothes waste of money, thrift stores are the best. And I didn't keep my surgery a secret but I was extremely obese as you can see in my pictures. Once you start losing you'll end up tell people because you'll get sick and tired of all the questions.

Kay wolf how are you feeling?
-
Thank you Funsize it's not an easy road, but very rewarding. When is your surgery date? What's the status for all the other shorties here?
-
I started out on the treadmill, then worked on weights then I jumped into a Zumba class it was all over. My favorite classes are #1 body pump #2 Zumba #3 Sha bam. It took me about three weeks to get into a class and make sure u get your protein in. The key for me if I don't sweat I'm not work hard enough. (Don't sweat like I use to)

Hit the gym ASAP it did wonders for me. The only reason why I had to stop was my daughter and all her after school activities. It's slowing down and I'm changing up my routine and starting before work 5:00am gym time instead of after. I enjoy going to the gym I do their classes.

Hi I'm 4"11 and been sleeved going on my 11 month. My journey started out at 265 day of surgery 260. Lost about 25 pounds first week. First month over 50 pounds, then kept losing. Currently I'm between 135-140, stop going to the gym for 2 months and been in this stall. Getting back to the gym I'll lose the 15-20 more pounds I'm wanting to. I thought I was the only shorty out here!! BTW I did everything like tall people would do my Dr said it did not matter how tall. Check out my pics! Five months out/ 8 months out 10 months out/ current DL picture had to renew I look like a different person Just for kicks with my peeps

I'm 10 months out and feeling good!! But I could loss another 10 pounds give or take Once I return to my exercise routine. But I'm wondering what is my goal weight, is it by our Normal BMI range, height and weight range, or our personal goal weight. I'm 4"11 and the charts says I should be between 95-100 pounds for my height and normal BMI it's 110-115 pounds. Right now I'm at 130 and wearing size 8 or 10 depending on the paints. I would like to be between 125-130. What's your thoughts?

How is goal weight determined
Piggy piggy replied to Piggy piggy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks Woo Woo! My doctor said that if I get down to 130 and end up doing plastic surgery he feels that would take another 20-25 pounds off. That would put me at about 115 ish. I can't see myself being that small. But your right go 10-15 pass my goal for maintenance. Great opinion! -
welcome JinVegas!

Don't compare yourself to everyone because we are all different. People say Sha'bam is like Zumba if you google it you can see some of the moves. I really enjoy it!

Today is my two month mark and lost 50 pounds. I go to the gym 3 days a week for about an hour and half. My sister use to go with me but she's been flaking out on me. Once you get in ur own grove going by yourself is not bad you get pass it. The class I really enjoy at LVA is Sha'Bam. Find a class you like and you'll find yourself wanting to go.

So yesturday 23rd marked my 1 month and I'm down 37 pounds. I hope I keep it up because I love how I'm feeling.

Grilled chicken and grilled fish. But I only eat during lunch and a shake for breakfast and dinner.
