Cheer Mama replied to Cheryldiane80's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
not here, but good luck! If your doc thinks it will be ok, then it prob will. -
chapstick! very baggy underwear baggy dress or very baggy very soft pants and oversized top flip flops patience :0) When I left the hospital I was VERY swollen. My underwear was way to tight and it was comfy before I went in. I wish I had had a dress even though I HATE dresses. Chapstick because your lips WILL be dry. really, nuthin else. Wear the clothes in and out. It will be very hard in the beginning, but it is well worth it. Good LUCK!

10 weeks and can barely eat
Cheer Mama replied to Robyn1030's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Call your doc. I have had nausea due to acid. My PPIs are starting to make that better. Some days for me are better than others, but I still eat a very little bit at a time. Annoying since I can barely get in my calories and Protein.... I still supplement with a Protein Drink. I also had another EGD done. Nothin' was found on me. I wish they would have upped the PPIs before they wanted the EGD.... Good luck! -
Call your doc, he/she knows best.... I have it bad enough now that I have doubled up on the ppi per doctors orders and I have started to notice relief. More/diff meds may give you relief..... good luck.

Surgeon trying to talk me into band.
Cheer Mama replied to bigbeauty78's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you want a sleeve and the doc is pushing a band, get another opinion. Good luck... -
Congratulations! Your weight loss is awesome! I have arthritis also. I've been tested numerous time to try to figure out what type I have and nuthin' comes out pos. So, I just ache all over. I know my weight would come off faster if I could exercise without the joint pain. Muscle pain, I can deal with, joint, not so much.... I REALLY wanna start my arthritis meds again, but my doc wants some acid irritation to heal before I try the nsaids again..... Good luck!

Post op day 2, liquids hurt my sleeve!
Cheer Mama replied to Thinner1Day's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Remember your doc knows best.... Drinking for me was very hard in the beginning. I needed my liquids room temp for several weeks. Plain Water is harder. Try flavoring the water. I've read on here that it helps the water molecules separate.... weird but it helps. Tiny sips! and I mean small. For the first several days I had many measuring cups lined up on the counter and I would fill with barely an oz. and sip 1 every 10 minutes. VERY time consuming, but this is all there is at this point.... I'm about to start my 3rd month and my stomach STILL cramps if I drink too fast or I shock it with a big gulp and it is super cold. It does get better a little bit every day. -
This is normal.... I was seriously double guessing myself and almost pulled out of it. Relax and take a deep breath. It'll be ok. :0)

For the first time in at least 5 years, I have gotten on my road bike. :0) I used to bike 20+ miles at a time. I only went less than 2 miles. But I am proud of myself.

I went for 'baby steps' so that I could still sit down tomorrow! hahahahaa

It's all in the shrinking of the liver. For many, the doc also wants them a little bit of a lower weight. I was a last minute rush/ fit into tight schedule. I had less than a week on a mostly liquid diet.

These are a few of my favorite things:

It's the little things I find incredible! -
I was just thinking about how my pajama top is really long on me and how the V-neck is really low. I looked at the size and thought to myself that I may need to buy new jammies soon..... So a few of my favorite things that I have noticed these last 2 months are: - I have a neck and jawline now - my underwear is waaaaaay to big and I need smaller ones stat! -I'm running out of the smaller shorts in my closet. The ones I would fit into now I threw away a loooooong time ago - My stomach pooch is considerably smaller - my daughter's teacher noticed I had lost weight! (woohoo!) - need smaller jammies - I fit into a foldable yard chair easier - need smaller belts - my blood pressure keeps going down with every doctor visit, no more BP meds - no more cholesterol meds - easier to get into and outta my car - need smaller bras - don't have to stretch out my t-shirts before I put them on What have you noticed and liked?

Note to self: mowing with a 107* heat index
Cheer Mama posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Texas. I know it's hot outside, but geez, I'm on a riding mower, I've done good with my Water, and I have on a big hat. But even with all that I got way over heated. I used to be able to do it just fine. I didn't even do the whole acre.... I couldn't. So my note to my idiot self: Don't go out when the heat index is this high, wait till winter to mow..... -
Both, They are a great protein.

ok, what is wrong with me? I'm 2 mo out and I'm still puttering along...... But then again I haven't had IT in over a year. :0(
