Joeygirl, I had Surgery on My 28tyh and I'm in the same boat you are. wEIGHT LOSS IS EXTREMLY SLOW AND RESTRICTION IS NOT THERE. I had a fill today & I'm at 1.65 total cc in a 4cc band. I hope it works. Time will tell. I thought by 3 months I'd be losing better. I just changed my diet ticker and lost 1 # since August 18. Not to impressive. Good Luck to you, Sheila

Hi beach140, I went to my doctor and I was on my third fill I was suppose to have 1.5 cc he took out what was in there and it was only 1cc .5 cc had discipitated I now have > 1.3 cc in my band. MY Point being you may want to ask your doctor to remove what you have in your band and put it back in to see if any of you saline has discipitated. YOu may have less than you think. Just my opinion. Hope this helps Good Luck, Sheila

Hey Sandra, Just put it behind you, all the Junk chalk it up to a holiday thing. Good choices again for supper how about a salad it will fill you up and make you feel good. You are doing great with your weight loss. Stay with it. and remember the carbination in sodas will only make yu feelfull and possible stretch your band so say goodbye to them forever. i was a diet cokeaholic, I went thru withdrawl in December and it wasn't fun but I feel better that I'm off the stuff now. Don't beat yourself up over one day you are an inspiration to me with ypur weight loss and I hope to follow soon. Good Luck Sheila

hi andigump, I was banded on May 29th and i'm still trying to find my sweet spot. I've had 3 fills and i'm still hungry between meals. Its a slow process but we'll all get there Exercise helps a lot. just try walking 1/2 hr a day. you'll start to loose the weight. waiting for the first fill is a challenge i know but be assured you made the right decision. I keep telling myself I didn't gain this weight in a few weeks but over years. So thats how I'll loose it over a few years. take care and good luck Sheila

Hey Metalband, I know what you mean about liquids. and feeling like you could eat even though you had a fill. My Doctor recommends 2 days of liquid after a fill wow 4 days seems long but everyone has a different philosphy. I like to sleep in the next day when I have a fill it seems like the day is not as long that way. Maybe Saturday you could get some extra sleep the AM. Pamper yourself. Anyways good luck to you. Sheila

Hey Ragdoll, Thanks for the advice I have a bike and I'm going to give that a try. I'm eating a hi Protein low carb diet usually. lots of fresh veggies this time of year yummy. You know I was reading your post of how to find time to exercise with little children. Someone mentioned preparing food ahead of time or at least knowing what you will prepare. I remember the same problem many moons ago LOL( I have Grandchildren now) . But I remember the crockpot working well to feed the family when time was short. a whole chicken and veggies or pot roast or stew. yOU CAN PREPARE THE NIGHT BEFORE AND COOK ON LOW ALL DAY. Lots of good recipes online at cook sites let me know if you need the sites, I'd behappy to forward a list to you. Thanks again, Sheila

Hi All, I haven't been on in a while. I went to see Dr. Heneghan today. He did an adjustment I now have 1.3 cc in my band. I thought I had 1.5 but .5 cc is among the missing LOL. I figured as much because I havev't felt restricted yet. So he gave me a .25 fill. I'm alittle bummed out because the weiht loss is almost nothing lately. And I thought I'd feel restricted by now. I'm almost 3 months out and have lost only 14# total since then. I'm trying with the walking but my feet and back are yelling at me if you know what I mean. Bread is the only thing that I can't tolerate, it won't stay down. Thats something anyways because I love bread. I'm keeping track of calories and I'm between 1200 and 1500 calories a day. and I'm staying away from junk and soft foods. Any suggestions from all the group would be appreciated. Thanks, Sheila

Hi Ragdoll, I have to see the doctor again this Wednesday, I just had a fill on the 14th of August from a Nurse Practioner. So I'm not sure if he'll give me a fill that soon, any idea? Thanks for the reply. Good Luck. Sheila

Hi Ragdoll. I'm impressed with your weight loss. Congratulations. I see you have 2.7 cc in a 4 cc band. I only have 1.5cc and I'm still struggling hungry all the time and no restriction other than not able to eat bread. May I ask how many fills you've had? My Doctor gave me 1 cc 1st fill and then .5 cc. I wqnted more but he said he had a protocol to follow. Hmmm. Well good Luck and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Sheila
