I am having surgery on April 29th I am super excited because I have high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes which I feel has been effecting my performance at work and quality of life in general! I think I am just getting larger and larger the sicker I get from these ailments that are weight induced!! And it has been snow balling the worse I feel the less motivation, the bigger I get the crappier I do at work and home. SO, I was reading about how diabetes goes away almost immediately after surgery and this is the MAIN reason for me getting the surgery. I am at a 36.9 BMI and my insurance approved me because of: Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, sleep apnea and a steady regimen of pain meds for bulging disks (due to weight) NOW I have been reading all of these college and hospital studies saying that only 2/3rds of people that get WLS the diabetes go away, and in a year or two a 3rd of those have diabetes again and after 5 years almost all of the get it back.. I have also read this is not true.. I know some places or biased and can pull negative and report or they can pull positive and report. So I want to know from the actual people: Did your diabetes go away and if so, did it come back? If it did come back how long was it at bay for? How long did you have diabetes before the surgery? I have been per-diabetic for 3 years and diabetic for 4 months. If you had high blood pressure did it go away? -

I am glad to hear it for both of us! I can't wait. -
I would say if you did it before, liked it, and it helped.. Why not? I did HCG injections for 36 days and lost 46 lbs.. Once I got my dose correct I was not hungry at night.. I had to eat on a schedule because I was never hungry! I felt good being detoxed off carbs and sugar .. Of course when I stopped it all came back on because I didn't learn any new habits.. It may be a good pair with WLS if your doctor is okay with it.

Okay I will need to talk to my doctor then, I just didn't think about asking this I have pre-op Tuesday These are the articles I read, and yes they do say after weight loss surgery but they seem to refer to bypass more than sleeve. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/11/121126142957.htm http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/28/weight-loss-surgery-may-not-combat-diabetes-long-term/ http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/253394.php -
I Used to inject HCG for weight loss and this was a huge topic. http://www.canadadrugsuperstore.com/more.asp?ProductID=25273 hence the knowledge. I think b12 is best with a big scary needle into the muscle, it's scary but way less painful than shooting into your fat with the 29 gauge diabetic needle.

I actually used a India online pharmacy to get mine, I will find a link but just about any will do, the safest way to buy from those places is to go to a web site find out the exact cost w/shipping and then get a prepaid visa at Walmart or a drug store for the exact amount and purchase online that way, you will not have to worry about them ripping off your card #'s. these places are legit and they will send you what you order, the only thing is 1 out of every 4 people it seems gets their credit card info jacked, this is probably not even the company doing it but crooked people working there. You can go to Walmart or target and ask for the needles.. If you google online the weight lifting forums they usually provide a lot of info about where to buy, needle sizes etc.. You can also google, needle size for B-12 and then go ask for that. I do not remember if you shoot b-12 in muscle or into fat, I think you can do both, there may be a preferred I have myself a b-12 shot once in the fat and it burned sooooooo freaking bad!!!!
