When did you start really working out?
kae21879 replied to NellieBean's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I started working out consistently in January. I am running my first 5k this Saturday. I have never been into running. .. ever, but just pushed myself up to 3 miles. The exercise really helps and I am starting to see what people talk about with the endorphin high. Feels great. I have about 25 lbs to reach my goal. Started at 282, I am now 163. Best decision ever. -
Down 115.5 so far. Hoping to Lose about 25 more and then maintain. 166.5 now from 282. Not done yet but feels great. My labs look really good too! Best decision ever

Also working towards doing a 5k. I am up to 1 1/4 miles so far. Trust me I have never liked running but feeling good about my accomplishment so far. Feeling prouder every time I go a little further.

Mine slowed a lot with the new year but it's picking back up by adding exercise in... . Like I should have already been doing. I Finally found a way to squeeze it in. I feel a renewed excitement add my goal is in site and feeling attainable. Smaller than my Husband for once in our 17 yrs together.

What a journey this is. Starting weight was 282. I am now at 168.... about 30 lbs to my goal.

Surgery date was 6/25, starting weight was 282. I am currently 172. I am lighter then my hubby for once. He has always been the trim one so i am loving it. We are same height and frame size. I am hoping to reach 135-140, with a little luck. I have been fighting plateaus more then before this month though. I am working out on my lunch bark when ever possible. Hopefully that will jump start me. Plus I am hopefully rebuilding the muscle mass I lost from this. How are my other fellow June sleevers doing?

Losing a little slower is good because your skin had s better chance to keep up with the changes in your body -
Shewins- I am just starting a b complex and iron to help with my fatigue and hair loss. Pushing to get my calories up. Never thought that would be an issue lol. But all in all I feel pretty good.

Marfar7- hang in there. Keep following the plan. The loss will come. We all started with different sizes and conditions and all will lose at diff rates. I have had moments of frustration but then the loss comes or inches come off. Take measurements when you don't see numbers you want. ..it often is still dropping there -

Sleeved on 6/25...I am down 73 total, 24 of this was preop. My bmi is improving. My land were good except my Iron is low and I need to raise my good cholesterol. Loosing some hair, but thankfully my hair is thick so not a problem yet. Feel pretty good other then a little fatigue from the iron. Cold a lot which is strange to me since I used to get hot real easy. But again That is a side effect of low iron. Feeling pretty good about things. Definitely glad I did this.
