  1. I stayed away from movies I couldn't resist it so I let hubby go by himself I enjoyed the me time and lifetime movies at home
  2. I definitely can relate to your posting. I know people treat overweight people differently. About ten years ago I lost 140 lbs and was treated differently I was shown more respect from upper management but then the weight came back on and the attitude's changed again at work. So know after this surgery I'm having people notice me more comment etc upper management is noticing and respect is coming back. I'm in middle management. I just hope I don't do that I hope since I've been there that I don't judge people by appearance. I still see my self large I know I have lost a lot. I am about. Midway thru my journey and have a lot to go. So hopefully the brain will process the new image of myself.

  4. I was a self pay and went thru tons of complications and medical bills beyond the self pay just been able to eat since April 13, was sleeved oct 30 so why do I think I need to eat chips cookies etc of course the tummy has no problems with that but ill throw up protein and things I should eat. I know I have to stop this threw out all temptation hubby will be mad but he didn't need it either. I just wonder if anyone has ran into this issue any suggestions. Negative comments not needed I have beat myself up over my mistakes.
  5. You look awesome a real inspiration congratulations
  6. How often do you weigh yourself? Just curious. I weigh weekly and keep track of that weight. It usually goes down this week it was up a couple lbs freaked me out. This was first time it has gone up. Not sure why but I figure its water retention.
  7. Its smart to not the numbers dictate to you. We know we are doing everything right so we need patience and we will get to our goal. I have two goals my personal one and the recommended goal according to height weight chart. 40 away from first goal.
  8. For my first few days of preop diet I thought how am I gonna do this for two weeks but then it got easier I didn't cheat or anything. It is like a cleansing get rid of all the toxins built up in your body.
  9. Good luck and be ready for all the awesome changes your body will go thru, its so exciting and the time flies and the weight drops.
  10. Thank you ill have to look into it. How did your surgery go
  11. I Didnt tell people barely my family once I made up my mind I didn't want to hear any negative comments thoughts etc...which I was glad I didn't but then I had major complications and needed lots of prayers so word got around but still the details as to what type etc..but it so strange that people have all become diet police like can you eat that or make comments about what I eat etc..they know nothing about this surgery. So if you tell be prepared for the si called friends who will tell you what when how much you should eat
  12. My husband always asking why do I cross my legs so much I never did that before. My answer is Because I CAN! Is it not awesome to be able to cross your legs, bend over to tie your shoes, fit into a chair and still have room for more. Here's the big one. To actually have a lap!!!
  13. Its so funny I was in my suv today and realized I needed to move the seat up to reach the pedels better. Then I thought I should buy a smaller car sporty perhaps.
  14. Its hard letting go my sister came over went thru my closet and three bags later she was gone with my clothes it helped me a lot because I keep saying I might need them she said too bad buy new ones then. Going shopping for new ones made it seem so real the loss

    5.5month update with pictures!

You look awesome so happy for you.
  16. Recently I went clothes shopping after loseing 100 plus pounds 329 to 189 since Oct 30. I went from 5x shirts to large misses and 26/28 pants to large 18/20 pants. But when I look in the mirror I feel like I'm looking at a stranger. Has anyone else felt this? Also I still feel fat. I know I have 60 more to go per Dr but personally about 20 I will be happy but very happy now.
  17. Thanks for all the tips. I showed my drivers license pic today to a couple girls at work they were like OMG I didn't see you that big. But know so little made me feel good. I am so happy and scared that it will all come back on. Or ill wake up this was all a dream.
  18. It truly is hard two week prepping liquid diet but vital to do it 100% it helps the Dr to do surgery so please let your surgeon know your troubles.
  19. My journey began with surgery on Oct 30. I know no one wants to hear about complications but I wish I would of known about them ahead of time. I had three tears leaks I didn't realize them until I had an abscess from the liquid I was drinking it all drained into my abdominal region until the pressure built up and spilled out my incesion. I then ended up in emergency surgery and icy and three months of hospital stay. It was very rough. But I finally got my feeding tube out April 13 that's right no food till two weeks ago. Please don't let this change your mind on surgery. I am happy lost 110 lbs 40 more to go.

    my wls journey

It wasn't from any one food or liquid the leaks just allowed everything to dump into the abdominal area. The leaks were surgeon error although they wouldn't admit that
  21. I also went to kc Bariatics MT surgeon Dr.kilawaski probably didn't spell that right. Does anyone know of support group meetings in the evening. I was sleeved Oct 30 and am having trouble with what to eat
