It you notice with most things in society....... something new starts to take hold......becomes very popular.......then begins to get abused......then falls out of favor due to abundant misuse. The human race is fucked up.
I think there's also an element of confession that makes people feel better either because they want absolution or the criticisms make them feel like they've been absolved. LOL
