Gained weight on purpose?
LipstickLady replied to Sparkles21's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I understand why you are doing what you are doing. Desperation can lead to some whacked out decision making, but I definitely wouldn't advertise insurance fraud on a public web site. -
I'm freaking starving.

The very first post my "old ass" made to the OP, for the record. -
I am not a doctor, but... (post-op diet progression)

You are the bomb diggity! -
Gas is normal! Walk, walk, walk. If you have steps, climb them. Every time I felt a burp or toot get stuck, I climbed our house stairs. Worked every time. Take a GasX and then lay in you left side. Pull your knees towards your chest and relax. And don't let the dog snuggle up to your butt. He might pay you back.

What do you mean when you say broth is "not working"? What makes you feel as though you can handle butter beans? What's on your surgeon's prescribed diet for you right now? Have you contacted him or her about your feelings? liquids won't stretch your sleeve but eating something (especially something with skins like beans) can an leave food particles stuck in your unhealed suture line. You don't want to create a possibly hazardous situation with a newly cut stomach, I assume. Head hunger is real and it sucks. Creating a leak or an abscess would suck even more. Stick to your plan. You are worth it.

Y'all. I'm seriously amused.

I really shouldn't play with such nonsense but you are highly amusing. -

Yes, I'm like 50. :eye roll: And yes, I'm exactly the same in person. Are you going to start calling me names and sending idle threats my way, too? Have at it. I'm not scared of you. Snort! -
Walk, walk, walk. It could have been anything, really. I had this experience randomly for about 18 months. If you can force a burp, it helps. GasX was my BFF. But really, walk. Up steps is best.

It sounded very much like a threat and believe me, I'm NOT your baby. But advice? Ok, I'll bite. Follow your advice or to what result? -
@@biglady904 Perfect! No room for guilt. Don't let food rule your brain in such a negative way. YOU are in charge, pie isn't.

Overheating 12 days post VSG

Find a therapist before you seriously hurt yourself. A popcorn kernel lodged in you staple line could cause serious complications. You are too new to binge eat, especially foods like popcorn. -
Was it yummy? Was it a one (or two) time thing just for the holidays? Can you go take a long walk to work it off? No biggie! Let go of the guilt. You enjoyed it, your stomach is healed, you took a controlled piece. Much better than you would have done in previous years, right?

Sliding into a pair of skinny jeans and looking great in them will help break that hold. Seriously.

Haha ok little b***h where did I EVER say I want to "load up" on carbs? You've had the sleeve done so you damn well know the most a person can eat 2 weeks post opp is a spoonful or two. No one wants to be on a liquid diet forever. Cut your bs trying to lowkey fat shame people when you should be giving helpful advice like you weren't big as a house at one point. Please. Your nasty comment was not asked for and no one wants your negative comments on their threads like what's the point of you being on this app? I suggest you becareful with what you say to people online. Be very careful. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App So, name calling followed by a threat? Huh. Merry Christmas to you. -
I have been messaging her and helping her. Her BP is back down to normal range last time I asked her to check it. There are many ways to take a BP actually. Wrist, arm, leg, etc.. and with an IUD you usually have irregular bleeding as it is and she is probably used to that if she has had the iud for some time. I told her if her BP goes up again she needs to go to the hospital. She is most likely slightly dehydrated and could attempt to help herself by continuing to drink Water. I'm gonna keep messaging her and making sure she is okay. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Should you be sharing her medical information on a public website? Should you even be dispensing medical advice to a stranger on a message board? @@Alex Brecher , this is concerning. She shared her own medical information in the above posts. I am not googling answers for this lady. I went to school for 4 years to be a nurse. I think I have the right to tell this lady if she should worry or not. Thanks for your concern Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Anyone can be anything on the internet. No offense intended but I do hope she's consulting with someone who knows her complete medical history and does not post it publicly. What she shares is one thing, what you reshare is questionable and most likely professionally unethical if you are a licensed health care provider. @@Alex Brecher

I can't help you with an appeal in any way, but if you have severe reflux, you should ask about bypass vs. sleeve. I love my sleeve, but from what I understand, it only exacerbates the GERD issue. Most people who have it are better candidates for bypass. -
Happy holiday, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah! Hope your weekend is filled with love, laughter and loved ones. <3

You've made it this far, you can do it. How many more days until you are allowed mushies? Have you tried egg drop or miso soup for a change? How about strained bean soup? As @@Sai said above, you are still healing. Your good health is worth much more than a few bites of ANYTHING before your body is ready. Chew some gum, brush your teeth, rinse with Listerine (the nastiest liquid on earth), use those nasty Listerine strips -- nothing tastes good after that. Helped me make it through for sure... -

No one figured out mine. How do you know what they say when you are not around? Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App Why would I care? Oh! And I am self employed so there is no water cooler chatter about me that I know of.
